“My wife and I travel frequently to Austin and have for a number of years. With two of our children here, we have dined out at many of Austin's finest restaurants. I am a partner in a number of businesses in Sonoma County, California, including golf courses, theaters and a restaurant. I am rarely motivated to write a restaurant review, particularly a glowing review. My wife found Oz. Tap House online and it was very close to our hotel. My personal experience with tap houses is that they have great beer, but mediocre food and generally less than mediocre service. I went online and looked at the menu, still not particularly enthusiastic. But I decided to place a dinner order for my wife and I and was immediately blown away by the online ordering system. Virtually every menu item can be custom ordered in a dizzying variety of ways. I even remarked to my wife that it was the finest online ordering software that I had ever seen. But ordering is one thing and execution is another. My wife ordered the Oz. House Burger (Beef), cooked medium, substituting lettuce wrap for the bun and adding avocado with a small avocado jalapeno side salad. Again, the customization options were many. I ordered the Charcuterie Pretzel and a Side Caesar Salad, with no croutons. I knew the restaurant was only a couple of minute drive, but even then the speed of the announcement of the projected pickup time and the time itself was amazing; less than 15 minutes. When I picked up the meals at curbside, I told the waitress how impressed I had been with the online ordering system and she thanked me and told me she would have to tell her husband. Turns out Krista and her husband, Sean, own and operate the restaurant. I had assumed with the level of sophistication that it must be a franchise or chain, but no, Oz. is a true mom and pop restaurant. When leaving I told Krista that the proof would be in (i) whether the delivered food matched the order and (ii) the quality of the food. I had barely started eating when my wife announced that her salad was spectacular and the burger one of the best she had ever had. My meal was every bit as impressive. Again, uncharacteristically for me, I called Krista (even though the restaurant was hopping and I knew she was busy), just to tell her that the food was as good or better than the service. This is as advertised: true farm-to-market fare, exceedingly fresh, expertly prepared as ordered and quickly delivered. Yes, Oz. may not have McDonald's prices, but it has infinitely superior food, expertly prepared and efficiently delivered. We admittedly didn't even try what was probably the standout feature of the restaurant: the beer. I assume if the restaurant part of the tap house was spectacular, the beer side of it must be even more so. Next time. Do yourself a favor and try the Oz. Tap House. My very best wishes to Krista and Sean on a very successful business in a tough industry.“

We had two dozen raw (mix of gulf and east coast), 2 orders of charbroiled, Rockefeller, and fried oysters. We couldn’t get enough they were so good. “Recent visit this time deserves a review! Was there last night for a wedding party with 30 plus people. I also learned that they also had 2 smaller parties going at the same time. For a Sunday night this place was packed! Ruby & Mason behind the bar did an amazing job with keeping up the orders especially during the rush at the beginning when we got there! After placing our order I watched Kevin have some amazing hustle getting everyone's order out while keeping the place clean! Kitchen did great at keeping up as we only had to wait maybe 20minutes for food. Typically when you have that kind of crowd you would expect the food wait to be longer. I've seen this place during normal operations and they always have great service. Last night they killed it! Great job!

“When you think of a donut it is hard to find shops that make them to order. The Texas size donut is about the size of a half sheet tray. I have a few favor donut places in Illinois and Indiana where I am from. But these donuts at Round Rock will give any donut place a run for their money. The staff is super friendly and they are fast, efficient, and affordable. I highly recommend you come here if you’re in the area.“

“The Anko Cookie is absolutely amazing!

The almond cookie is buttery without butter, and the creamy anko filling melts in your mouth. It's unique, elegant, and not overly sweet like many desserts. I ended up buying a few more to take home.

Since they're handmade in small batches, they sometimes sell out before the end of the day. I'd recommend checking availability or stopping by early if you really want to try them.

Huge and interesting selection across local and national breweries, better than anything I’ve seen in the whole Austin area, and the people there will give great advice on finding your new favorite. “Torchy's is a street taco specialist that started up as a food truck in Austin and has now expanded to over 90 restaurants across the States including this place on Whitestone Blvd. in Cedar Park. They have a fair sized indoor seating area as well as outdoor tables. You can do take-away and delivery as well. Menu features a few not-taco and side items along with their signature list soft tacos that are really good. We had dinner here recently amongst friends, tried 6-7 of their different tacos, let's just say that nobody complained and we gladly finished them all. Torchy's is a neat place that is family friendly and a good spot to meet up with friends. Prices are reasonable, range of taco options good and they seem to know what they are doing in the kitchen. Would gladly eat here again and do take-away for meals at home.“
