Comfort Food Restaurants near Katy, TX

“Ventured out to Katy this morning to try Harvest Kitchen & Bakery. First impressions: There was a line to get in at 8:30 am, I knew it was going to be good. Second, Chef Lori was at the door upon opening greeting her patrons. I couldn’t love this more, it showed me she cared. Third, the ambiance of this place. I can’t begin to describe how beautiful this restaurant is. So many intricate details. It was beautiful. Lastly, the food. I am a celiac therefore cannot eat gluten. Almost all of her menu has the capability to be a gluten free plate. So we tried 4 items: The chicken and waffle was good. The seasoning was delicious. The sweet potato cinnamon roll was Devine. Tasted like Christmas and Thanksgiving combined. The lemon blueberry waffle was delicious. I loved the lemon glaze it was so good. My absolute favorite was the Monte Cristo 🤤 Chef Lori, thank you for the mozzarella stick recommendation, they were delicious as well. Thank you stopping in to check in on us. We enjoyed our meal, as a celiac I was blown away by the options and you can feel the love you pour into your restaurant. “I went to this place for the first time and I really liked it. The food was good, the drinks were great, and the prices were reasonable. I recommend it for dinner with friends, family, or your partner. You should definitely try one of their trio platters.“
