I had lunch here with a coworker recently and the experience was quite average. It is very clear that the restaurant is set up for a nightclub/lounge more than a restaurant, as more than half of the space is taken up by a stage and dance floor. The food was average, although the jerk chicken itself was fantastic. The plantains seemed old and quite tough. So no complaints about the customer service everyone was nice but come on Texas, I just moved here from South Carolina and I was expecting some flavor and spices and this is totally opposite. I got the oxtail (which they were cook good, not to tough not to soft, but everything else had no flavor. The peas and rice was bland, it taste like white rice with just peas, cabbage was ok, pretty plain as well. Thank god I got a side of jerk sauce for the rice. Food was great the first time. The second time I ordered, rice and peas were undercooked, there was no jerk sauce or gravy and the brown stew was bland. I wish there was some consistency rather than a hit or miss because after all customers are paying the same price regardless.
