“You don't go to Mornings Kolaches for the atmosphere. You go there to pick up some phenomenal Jolly Peno kolaches to take to work. BEST KOLACHES EVER!!! The bacon and cheese is my #2 favorite. A couple of the women that work there are pretty nice too. So there's that. In all, this is one of my 3 regular morning stops. Highly recommended. 2 thumbs up.??“

“I can’t believe someone left a shameful review of this place. My kids and I have been getting donuts here every Friday since we moved to La Porte. The man doesn’t speak as much as English as his wife but they are BOTH so unbelievable friendly! She learned my kids names and their orders and no matter how busy it is she takes the time to special make my sons frosting and sprinkles covered donuts! WE LOVE THIS DONUT STORE especially over any other chain in La Porte.

“Vulnerable moment: Since being diagnosed with gastritis, my health and diet has been turned upside down. Making plans in advance is impossible because I never know how sick i will be. I spend most of the day silently in pain and finding appetizing things to eat that wont irritate my stomach has been a battle I’ve kind of given up on until we figure out how I got gastritis and heal. Having to go spice, additive, dairy, gluten, and (mostly) sugar free to fight the inflammation, I’ve had to handmake everything down to my own sandwich bread. It was SO nice to feel a bit of normalcy today, be able to order from a menu without asking for crazy accommodations, and to have something actually amazing tasting. My love language is now their snickerdoodles and coffee cake! While I hope my illness is temporary, I will be forever thankful for this bakery and what they did for me today! ❤️🍪“

“What an absolutely perfect little place. Sunshine Kitchen is smack in the middle of the shopping center, I initially thought it was only a bakery but the owner Dara has a full menu from Breakfast to Lunch and everything is divine. I only have pictures of pastries and dessert but it was all delicious. I got the carrot cake, a pecan cobbler bar type of thing and the blueberry scone and omg. I gave the carrot cake to my friend and have regretted it ever since, she loved it and I loved everything I had!! Can’t wait to go back.“

I was hesitant at first because I really wanted him to have something that resembled more of a tiered cake. With the help of Lameka Hadnot and Monigua Murphy, at the Baybrookmall Mall store in Webster, my son and I both got what we wanted. Thank you two so much for helping to make my son’s wedding special! “First time, and a small place but nice. The person working was very nice and pleasant. Just got home and everything was great. The cake pieces were soft and delicious. Compared to the other bigger bakeries and the cake pieces are hard as a rock and pricey. I definitely recommend this place. Only took one picture of some items.“

However the reviews that mention that they don’t warm up the kolaches, or even offer to warm them, are true. This has always been disappointing to me. They got my order wrong this morning, but normally they always get my order correct and have decent coffee. Have a good morning ☀️“

“I traveled here from NC to get my kolache fix and the one s I wanted were not ready ,so I said I would wait til they came out of the oven and while I was waiting they gave me a sausage and cheese kolache and I thought that was so so nice.
