I decided to try a different bakery, and I love it every time! The staff is always polite and greets everyone when they come in, and their sweet bread is delicious.“

“Great bread here. This location is smaller than the one on Arkansas. Therefore, there's less of a selection. The bread has always been fresh. They also have bolillos and bread for tortas. Both are very big. I'd recommend this panadería.“
“We are fans of Panos but for a few years now the shells that are our favorites don't taste like anything other than bread, and our friends think the same, you are just eating bread without sweetness, I hope they can fix it because we miss those delicious and sweet shells they made, thank you“

“Super old-school bakery! Everything was absolutely delicious! I have not had Mexican bread this good in too long! The lady was also very nice and happy to help!! The compechanas were fried to perfection, the empanadas were the perfect ratio of bread and filling! “Laredoens tell me...."This is the original Panos bakery." "A Laredo icon". "A staple food since 1968!" As a güero from NY (western not NYC!) I always found Laredo pastries to be less sugary...which I used to detest, but now after 15 years here, I appreciate the subtle sweetness of the concha and the crumbly crust of a cajeta. The best part is that you know the products here are baked without preservatives and chemicals. If you are going to try these delicacies....there is no better place than Panos. On one hand, the run down shop is in serious need of some remodeling, and on the other....it gives it a sort of nostalgic feel which I cannot fully appreciate having not grown up around here, but nonetheless I can still imagine. I've been to several Panos locations and everyone has the most respectful sweet people serving. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention the price. I chose several items and walked out with a bag full of treats....7 bucks! Wow! What a bargain. And so much better than a Hostess cake that would set you back 2 to 3 bucks each and are loaded with sugar and chemicals.
Parking: Careful pulling into the location! Set on a hill the driveway slopes and has a huge dip. Better bring an SUV!“

“It was my first time here…I liked their hours as they open even on Sundays and the bread was good too. I was able to pick my own bread with a tray and tongs they provide you. I was impressed with their selection…they even had minis which was fantastic. Will definitely stop by again!“

“This place is great easy to order i had a sweet 16 cake done for my daughter after i tried with other cake places in laredo everyone had crazy prices and nobody was honest but cakes by design made mine for good price it was simple and ready on time thats not it cake tasted amazing sweet soft buttercream was on point and made just how i wanted it great service“
“The place is good, you can find everything but they lack customer service and I have been a customer for many years and it is no longer the same Walmart of times past, if you are in the food area, an employee passes by, you can't find something and you ask them and they tell you I'm not from this department and they don't solve your problem“

“Not sure why the bad reviews. Every time I come here for their cookies or special occasion cakes the staff is super helpful and the cakes are delicious. I always get compliments from everyone asking where I got it. My family has driven across town from the south side just for their pistachio cake thats one of a kind !“

“Wife and I actually had brunch at the Bolillos that's connected with cakeland. She had the omelet plate and I had a Ternera Burger combo. Both tasted really great. Took some sugar cookies home to enjoy with some coffee later that evening“

“Pano's had always been my familys' to-go bakery. And eventho I moved to the valley some years back, this bakery still continues to be my go-to bakery. I don't just buy for myself or just my family. I buy enough for my family, my in-laws & my friends wouldn't go anywhere else. My favorite are the regalitos! I wouldn't give it up for anything.“

“A very unique experience full of friendly attentive staff who will serve you quickly as they know most of the people there are out in lunch break and don't have any time to waste, and of course the food is very very good with selection of food considering the price“
“A decent selection of pan dulce. The staff are very courteous and friendly. Purchases can be made with either cash or a credit card. Although, the credit card minimum purchase limit is $5.00. They also have small quantities of milk, juices and sodas for purchase also. Enjoy!“

“The food is good I really enjoyed the Barbacoa taco wow it's great. I've had other plates as well I tried the ribs highly recommend them and the milanesa as well the price u cant beat it. They have great service if you get the guy that works there he goes out of his way very talkative the owner is a very wonderful lady.“
“It's a small bakery that I dont know is PART of the cafe or not but either way it was nice! The single worker there was easy to hear and patient while I browsed and gave me what I wanted when I decided to get it without a hitch! The space inhibited was also very clean and easy t walk around when I needed to! Cake I got was fine as well! No problems to speak of, really!“
