“I stopped in on my break to try this place out, the setup is great, the picture wall for them day dates would be great! The service was great the owner even greeted me at the door and gave me recommendations on the food. The cashier, her name was Leslie and told me all about the drinks and what she recommends, the common trend of what is popular at the moment. I loved the service, I had tacos and a smoothie with popping strawberry boba, it’s was phenomenal. I would say this is a great place to bring an afternoon date, come in and study with some friends or yourself, or just come eat here on your lunch break. “I ate at Kerbey Lane Cafe for the first time today. I had the California omelet with a biscuit and potatoes and a cappuccino. I had the sauce on the side of the California omelet, because I wasn't sure how spicy it would be. The sauce was not too spicy and it was delicious, but I'm still glad I got it on the side, because I don't like a ton of sauce on my eggs. The black olives on the omelet are a great touch. The biscuit was perfectly baked - soft and flaky with just the right amount of outer crisp. The potatoes were well seasoned and crispy. And the cappuccino was well made. I sat at the counter and it was clean and the service was great. I will be back again.

They have just about anything you could want- wine/liquor, water and soft drinks galore, frozen meals, quick pre-made deli items, along with delicious coffee made to order and pizzas. The atmosphere was incredibly welcoming. I ordered a water and coffee which I sat and enjoyed for a minute. I will be back!“

“First Time dining here the owner was really nice greated us and offered to try an appetizer we ordered the suya they added a meat pie for us to try. My husband got the jollof rice with asorted meat, before I knew it he had gobbled it all up, I got the fried rice with assorted meat it was tasty. “I found Maria's Cafe via Google Search and I'm a sucker for family owned hole-in-the-wall places that serve authentic no frills cuisine. Maria's does not disappoint. You will find tacos of every kind, including familiar ones and many others that I haven't seen in other places. I tried the Taco Mando Loco #1 on a corn tortilla which was served piping hot with a chilli sauce/salsa on the table. Word of caution for those who aren't accustomed to higher spice levels, this one has a kick to it, and that's a good thing.

For the 2nd order I was curious to know what they have for veggie tacos. When I asked, I was promptly handed a green sheet with a handwritten menu with over 20 different veggie tacos! I ordered Jeff's Vegan and it was awesome.

The location is about 2 miles from the city center so it's a short cab ride away but it's worth the trip. You'll get home made food that won't burn a hole in your wallet.

“Living in the Panhandle of Texas, finding a good TexCzech kolache is next to impossible. I don't mean klobasniky (sausage roll), they are everywhere. If you find yourself in San Antonio, however, may I recommend to you the Kolache Stop, east of I-10 on Huebner. Great selection of delicious–and authentic–kolaches in a welcoming and comfortable establishment. We were greeted kindly and given not only what we came in wanting, but also some excellent suggestions that we were glad to take. Kolache Stop makes kolaches with standard poppy seed, cream cheese, and fruit fillings (my favorite is the apricot!) as well as fruit and cream cheese and (my wife's favorite) nutella and cream cheese. Every variety we tried was delicious. In addition, they make breakfast and dinner kolaches that are worth your trip in. The egg, bacon, and cheese I had was well seasoned and fit the bill for a quick breakfast before we hit the road back to the West Texas plains. And, if you want klobasniky, they've got them, too. 😄 Bottom line, head to the kolache stop and get your kolache cravings filled.“
