Commerce Cafe is one of my absolute favorite places. Located in quaint Lockhart, Texas the cafe offers a diverse menu with something for everyone. The food is always delicious, very reasonably priced, and the staff is very friendly. I highly recommend the mushroom risotto as well as the Monday night family meals!
My wife and I stopped in here to grab a quick bite. My wife had the Cesar Salad with chicken added, and I had the burger with bacon added. The burger was very well seasoned, and fries were cooked well with just a little crisp. I would highly recommend stopping in.

I went to Commerce Cafe for a late afternoon cup of their wonderful coffee. I also ordered the popovers (when was the last time, if ever, that you've seen popovers on a restaurant menu?) They are wonderful, served with savory butter and shredded gruyere. And during happy hour they're available at a reduced price! The people here are nice and the dining room is very pleasant.
