Was not planning on stopping, I heard about a place in Lockhart that had great barbecue. Since I was traveling down i-130 at 80 mph. Figured what the heck. So glad I stopped. People were friendly. Food was delicious. And the line did seem to move pretty fast. Glad I had to park a block away. Cuz after I got done eating all that delicious food I'm definitely needed to walk. Lol the people of Lockhart sure do enjoy their barbecue. Blacks was my first stop and it was delicious hot....read full review
I didn’t think it could be done, but they did it, the best bbq in Lockhart. Terry Black’s was incredible, we tried all the stops in town, but clearly I have found the King of Lockhart. The brisket, the sausage and lord the turkey. Not to mention, oh but I will, the banana pudding! Do yourself a favor and before you stop in town and just stop at Terry Black’s, you won’t be disappointed.

had a really nice experience at black’s. you are hit with that smoke as you walk through the doors and start ordering! i enjoyed my brisket sandwich with mac in the side. tender and flavorful! staff was very friendly. would definitely recommend trying the pepper sauce if you like some heat!
