Smitty’s has slipped. Brisket was dry; having to pay for pickles, onions, etc. is irritating. The competition around the state — around Central Texas, in fact — is passing Smitty’s by.
Took my visiting sister and her husband to Smitty’s , the walls are black with smoke, fires were ablaze , air was heavy with the smell of cooking meat and what looked like post oak . We had ribs , sausages and brisket that was cooked to perfection . I couldn’t have made a better impression of true Texas BBQ !
This is the 3rd time we have visited Smitty's. Awesome food. Old fashioned ambiance. Delicious food!
