“In town to do some errands, wanted something besides bbq. Notice the high rating and the reviews, the reviews don't lie. First time, the menu offers so many choices. The server was fantastic, explained the menu perfectly, I was torn between getting something savory or sweet. While you wait, you could get free samples of pickled vegetables. After much going back and forth, I got the Market Street Hash with a side order of sausage. It was soooo good, the hash was filled with fresh veggies, I got the sunny side egg which gives it a yummy creaminess from the egg yolk. The sausage was tasty, homemade as was the Texas toast. It was a big serving. My partner got the avocado toast, it was made with the homemade bread, she made the mistake of eating this morning. We got dessert to go which was delicious, cream cheese chocolate mousse cupcake and the key lime pie bar. We told all bakery goods were made by the owner's wife. The cafe was clean and organized. We will definitely going back, still have many options to choose from.“

I ordered The Homestyle Breakfast (ONLY $7.29!). The Biscuits are to DIE for! Lite Fluffy Buttermilk biscuits, clearly made from scratch! Bacon was thick and perfectly cooked, home fries and eggs were perfectly cooked the only way, I enjoy them. I took a bite of the biscuits and gravy and about jumped out of my chair, it was sooo good!!!! Gravy made from scratch using sausage drippings and tons of sausage! TV's breakfast looked good, (I didn't ask for a bite, I was too busy eating like I had a slit throat!). He demolished his meal (I ain't lying, I demolished mine too!)Our server Shannah (not sure how she spells her name), was as sweet as a Fredericksburg Peach!!! She was welcoming, courteous, smiling and efficient! “Me and my family loves this place so much although we don't live their we would probably go there every time we are in Lockhart.Vegetarian options: There's a lot of vegetarian options on the menuKid-friendliness: It's a nice place for all people to eat and I highly recommend going there“

“Good Friday, and we had a fantastic meal. I had the all-you-can-eat catfish, and the boss had the chopped brisket sandwich. Both were really good.The owner came by a couple of times to make sure we were good.If you are in Lockhart, TX, stop by, and you won't be disappointed.“

“The food was delicious and service great! Me and coworkers were on our way back from New braunfels and stopped by this place. It was conveniently next to toll road. We had queso, enchiladas, goditas, and barria tacos. Each one was flavorful and super delicious!“

“We started eating here when I was pregnant with my daughter…we still eat here today. She’s 17. They have one of the best chicken fried steaks in Lockhart. And yes, I tried it on recommendation from another customer. Yum!!! I love the fajitas and nachos. Hubby gets the Guadalajara plate. The fajitas are delicious, so are the enchiladas.. a fact, I don’t think I’ve found anything here we don’t like, if not love. Especially the salsa! ?️“

“Black's Barbeque in Lockhart is a must-visit for anyone in the area. I had the pleasure of meeting Kent Black, the 3rd generation pit master, and he was incredibly welcoming and sweet. He took the time to show me family photos and even a cool George Foreman group photo.The food at Black's Barbeque was outstanding. The meats were cooked to perfection and the flavors were delicious. I highly recommend trying their brisket and ribs, as they were some of the best I've ever had.Overall, my experience at Black's Barbeque was fantastic. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was welcoming, and Kent Black was a wonderful host. “Get the pork chop, link of ‘dry’ sausage and a slice of ‘fatty’ brisket. Those pork chops are always moist, smoky and tender. You can see them dripping when they pull them out of the pit for your order. The potatoes are great and don’t skip the shiner light. Love their sauce too“

“I just tried Frank's Place. I had a cheeseburger and fries. The food was great. The service was even better. The place is small and easy to miss, well worth visiting. It was a full house when I went in to pick up my food, all the guest we smiling and having a conversation. I will be back.Parking: Parking is gravel and dirt. You will get dirty shoes if it's wet out. The have a boot scraper by the door.“

“Oh. My. God. Literally my favorite place in the area. We’ve always ordered the fish….which is incredible. But today we tried burgers and chicken tenders. I’ve NEVER had a better chicken tender or better fries! The portions are enormous for the price. We’ve always ordered pickup. The customer service is incredible and I’ve NEVER been remotely disappointed with a single thing!“
