Nice local coffee shop. Relaxing atmosphere.
Absolutely beautiful atmosphere and incredible staff. Had the green tea with blueberry puree as well as an iced decaf cold brew with banana bread cold foam. Both were excellent with perfect sweetness level for me. (I’m usually a 50-75% sweet kind of person)
Lawrence is the best barista ever!!!

Thorn & Bred Mercantile in Lockhart, TX is a delightful coffee shop, eatery, and plant store. This fairly new pop up restaurant offers excellent customer service, with staff making guests feel like honored guests. The food expertly prepared includes an egg sandwich, a grits bowl with a kick, and a potato-latke ready to prepare dish that was delicious when sautéed in olive oil. Breakfast tacos and the latke dish are also wonderful options. For drinks, both lattes and matcha are must haves, along with an iced latte in oat milk, a cold brew with chai winter special, and a gingerbread latte that is delicious but a bit sweet. The coffee shop is cute, cozy, and a great place to sit back, relax, and enjoy. Located in downtown Lockhart with plenty of parking, it is a wonderful stop right outside of Austin for a good bite and caffeine.
