If you can stop in and take advantage of the salad bar featuring pickled okra, green tomato relish, potato salad, Cole slaw, and all the fixins for a green salad or baked potatoes. Whatever you do, don't skip the pinto beans!!! I have been known to drive up and order beans and hush puppies and be a happy country girl!!!! The location is rustic country with solid wood bench seating. Service is always given with a personal touch.“

“Lone Star Charlie’s provides exceptional customer service, hands down. ‼️💯 Although I didn't obtain the names, the waitress who uplifted my spirits following a severe car accident on US 59 was truly an angel 😇 in disguise during a difficult time, and the host ensured my mother's comfort due to her mobility issues. The food was also great. I highly recommend visiting Lone Star Charlie’s near Livingston, TX; you won't be disappointed.❣️“

“Good food and service. There’s always a manager (Tony) at Lufkin’s location if you have any concerns. Roma’s is very community involved. Always happy to see them at the Downtown Bistro, supporting the school district and receiving awards from Lufkin Daily New, etc. Glad they’re in Lufkin!“

“Food was great! We had a combo of shrimp and creyfish. The seasoning was just right, a little heat(pepper)but not over doing it. Staff were helpful and friendly. Nice ? tunes from a well stocked band, The Never Brothers. It made for a great evening.“

“I really like the owner, but I believe that the service and lighting could be better. My coworkers love the place. I also hate that you could taste the added sugar in the cabbage and with other vegetables. Unfortunately, too many places add sugar to foods where it does not belong.
