“My wife, mother and I went here to eat before voting today and I had never been here before…..I must say this place is old fashioned with a lot of room and very hospitable staff with a very family atmosphere. “As soon as we walked in we were greeted with a big smile and a bunch of sweets that looked delicious. To a lovely host that lead us to the bar area. Carmen was a superstar helping us pick out or food and omg her old fashion drinks were on point. The best walnut bitter old fashion I've ever had. The salsa was on point . We ordered the fajitas for two and they came out smoking 🔥 and on point. Pictures to follow.“

“Oh my gosh! Everyone at our wedding was floored by our cake. We had the strawberry layer and the pineapple layer. It was moist and delicious. We only had one piece left. Everyone wanted to know where it came from. We couldn’t have been any happier with the process or the cake. It was decorated exactly as we wanted. Thank you Pennington’s Cakes.“

“I just walked into City Bakery in San Marcos because my hairstylist Destiny recommended it, and I had to try it for myself. I got their conchas and let me tell you… they are GOOD. Like actually good. They’re light, soft, and have this perfect little hint of cinnamon that just hits right.
And I’m Mexican, so when I say a concha is good, I mean it for real 🤭
The lady who helped me was so sweet and welcoming too, which made it even better. You can feel the good vibes as soon as you walk in.
I definitely recommend this place if you want some real, delicious pan dulce. I’ll be coming back for sure!“
