This place is worth going to for authentic style Chicago Italian food. The owner and staff are so nice and make sure everything is good, how couldn’t it be if an Italian chef is making the food! They order the poppy seed hot dog buns from Chicago! That is quality cooking! Delicious and superb :)
I was surprised to find out that Scalisi's had moved from their old location off of 281. I had been wanting to try their deep dish ever since I moved into the RGV nearly 5 years ago.I must say it did not disappoint. Love this restaurant. Even the new location on Trenton where I went today. The food never lets you down and the atmosphere is family friendly. And they have a new waitress who is a lovely person. Good time all around.
