They sat waiting for me, filled with promise; a scene from Heavenly Donut Land, right here in our own backyard near Lake Forest. Let me tell you, the first bite of the Bavarian cream cronut was like biting into a cloud from fluffy, cream-filled heaven. Melt-in-your-mouth moments that taste of vanilla whispers and frosty ballets. Biting into the lemon, was a pop of zesty joy, a perfect tangy tempo; I was zinging and zagging along a lemon grove! “This Black Rock Coffee location is truly one of a kind! The team that Meli and Jeeda have put together is outstanding!!! Customer service here is a thousand out of ten. Every single time I come through, whether at the drive-thru or inside, I’m greeted with kindness, energy, and genuine care. They honestly go above and beyond, and it makes such a difference.

I love this location so much that I’ll happily drive 30 minutes just to come here!! And yes, I even come twice a day sometimes because the experience is that good! I’ve tried plenty of other coffee shops in the area, but nothing compares. The coffee and the fuels here are legit—rich, balanced, and never just “sugar in a cup.” You can really taste the difference.

I’ve visited other Black Rock locations too, and while they’re good, it’s night and day compared to the team Meli and Jeeda have created here. They’ve built something truly special. As someone who’s new to the state, the way they’ve welcomed me and made me feel like part of the community means so much!! That’s why I’ll always keep coming back.
