“My first time there but my wife goes all the time for her lunch break. We had the quesabirria tacos. The meat was bland to me, but the cheese inside and the consume(leftover juices from cooking the meat) helped it along and it tasted pretty good. I wouldn't mind eating them again but I look forward to trying other menu items.“
“I came in at a very busy time for this location, I believe it was the dinner rush. I went through the drive thru and ordered with a nice young man named Adams. He was great, working very hard and I feel he needs to be recognized for that. Not only was he taking care of the drive thru, he was also running all of the food out to cars that pulled around to keep the line moving. My order got slightly delayed from computer problems, and he kept me updated the whole time. Thank you Adams!“
“I was asked to leave a review since it was my first time here. How can you not leave a review. I have one word for this place to describe the food and service. "AWESOME" And the Chips are from another world. If you haven't been here, you don't know what you're missing. Will be back!!!“
“This is a small mom & pop shop (those have the BEST food) with 2 different sides. One side has the tacos and things and the other has the corn/ice cream and lot of other things. We order some Birria tacos and 3 different street tacos (steak, brisket & barbacoa,) the Birria taco were SOOO GOOD, the only thing we didn't like was the steak taco so it was under seasoned, but the other 2 were good also. The staff were super nice and very helpful.“
“Spurlock's Malt Shop in Anna is a nice retro "drive-in" with a separate room for seating. The hamburger was fine (but not great). The corn dog good but small. The Malts made up for a lot! Good sized, lots of malt and flavor. It's worth the trip to Anna to try this!“
“Just discovered King Kups Food Truck in McKinney and I'm absolutely thrilled! Tucked away by a gas station at ?202 N Central Expy, it's truly a hidden gem for foodies. The Chicken Quesadilla blew me away with its juicy meat and perfect blend of cheese, earning a solid 5-star rating. The Taki Elote, with a unique, crunchy kick, was a deliciously spicy adventure, deserving 4.2 stars. But the Carne Asada Doblita? An absolute masterpiece, with tender and flavorful meat that melts in your mouth, clearly deserving another 5 stars. They offer catering services too, which is fantastic news for anyone planning an event and wanting to impress with delectable fares. Yes, service was just okay and the food took a while, but let me tell you, it is worth the wait. Being next to a gas station, grabbing a drink while you wait is super convenient. If you're in the area, don't miss out on this flavor bonanza. King Kups has earned its spot as my top recommendation in McKinney!“
“Had lunch on Sunday. Our waiter had a large table keeping him busy however he still found time to get our drinks out, refill drinks and keep us full of chips and salsa. Food came out fast and was tasty. Prices were reasonable. This place is being added to one of my go to from here on.“
“We were looking for authentic Mexican food, but came across this Tex-Mex restaurant instead. The food was delicious. When we arrived we did wait a little bit until a waiter showed up. But they were very attentive and the food was served fast too. The food could be Tex-Mex but it had a lot flavor.“
“My brother and I visited for lunch. We hadn't seen each other for quite some time so we were in no hurry. Our waitress understood this this and provided the perfect amount of attentiveness with appearing to rush us. The food, as usual, was amazing. Typically, I would have given it a 5 out of 5 stars, but the signature peach margarita was a bit of a letdown. It was described as a margarita having grilled peaches in it. Missing from the description was the fact that the peaches were canned, so instead of a tasty addition, they were more of a barely grill marked mass of slime. Barring that, the Megas brunch platter was astounding and large enough that I had leftovers to bring home. I will certainly eat here again.“
“We had dinner there 5:30 pm on 3/23/2024 and it was excellent! The food was really good, served hot and tasty. The waiter was very friendly and courteous and he was extremely accomodating to another couple with us that were vegetarians. He had the kitchen make up some spinach and mushroom enchiladas. Very clean restrooms and the atmosphere in the restaurant was pleasant. We will certainly visit again when we are in Van Alstyne!“
“Been going to Dillas since their only location opened was the one in Plano. It's fresh and tasty. I can't remember a week I haven't gone lately in the past years, at least me or my husband go once a week. The hot hatch is where it's at and the chips and queso. The fires are good too. You can get any Dilla as a salad too. They also have fresh brewed sweet and unsweet tea and lemonade. We always said this place would take off and it is and I am so happy for them that they have grown so much over the years.Good food. Great people. It won't be long before you will be able to find a Dilla anywhere you go!“
“We have been here a few time now. So far we have enjoyed all of the food. We personally have focused more on the seafood like fish tacos, ceviche, and augachilies. Each has been very good, the tortilla chips that come with certains dishes are top notch and not the super thin ones you get at other places. The place itself, not much to say beyond it is a comfortable place to go for a quick meal. The ladies working there have always been very friendly and helpful. We will definitely keep going back. My only wish is we had started coming here sooner.“
“We have been eating here since they opened a few years ago. Nothing has changed: the food is fresh and full of flavor. The staff are excellent and they keep the restaurant clean. Save room for ice cream -- they make their own ice cream in a variety of flsvors. Taco Tuesday is my favorite -- $2 tacos.“
“Sour cream chicken enchiladas. The food was very fresh and the salsa was very good. The portions seemed small for over $17+.Unfortunately, the chips were not good and had to be thrown away.I did delivery so I cannot rate service or atmosphere.“
“Great outside patio for nice days. We had an excellent and friendly server for lunch on a Saturday. The salsa which accompanies the free chips was delicious and not spicy. The kids menu was all right, although my son only ate the fries standard fare Tex mex as far as entrees go, but the service was what stood out. Don’t sleep on the chocolates and sweets at the front!“
“The prices are really great, especially for the size of food they give. I felt like I went back in time with these prices. A pupusa was just $2.50, but it's a good, healthy size and the quality of it was like something you'd find for at least 3 times the cost and half the size anywhere in the city. This is definitely worth the side trip to get to them. I think I've found my new favorite little hole in the wall hidden restaurant.“
“The tacos are $3-$4 but they are big and super loaded. It's not just meat and tortilla, it's a diff region of mexico style. I loved their salsas and their tortillas were perfect. Tried: Taco del Norte, Taco del Sur, and Campechano.“
“My family and I were hungry after working in the yard all day. We found this place via Google. OMG!! talk about pleasantly surprised. The food was amazing!! If you're hungry, I highly recommend the molcajete, a lot of food, full of flavor!! Come visit Rivera's!! We will definitely be back!!“
“Jalapeños Mexican Grill in McKinney is a true gem for anyone seeking authentic and delicious Mexican cuisine at an unbeatable price. My experiences dining here have been consistently delightful, thanks in no small part to the welcoming atmosphere and the exceptional service provided by our regular server, who also happens to be the bartender. Their attentiveness and friendliness enhance the dining experience, making each visit memorable.“
“Four reasons it's perfectly worth paying $4 for breakfast tacos.1. The portions are big and generous2. The flavor is authentic to its Mexican orgin3. The staff are so courteous and accommodating4. The establishment is so clean inside and outThis may look like a fast food joint from the outside but it's totally fresh food! The green salsa is ? ? and the horchata is super taste. So glad I stopped by. I got two tacos and couldn't even finish the second one cause I was so full off the first. Thanks for being here you guys. You started my morning off so tastely ????“
“The people here are amazing for one thing. My wife and I have come here since the place opened and every time we come it’s like it was the first. Very romantic place to bring your lady! Food is great and the atmosphere will catch you. This is Anna’s best Restaurant!“
“Van Alstyne is filled with Pizza and Tex Mex on every corner. The only problem with that is they are all fantastic and it can be months before places like El Patio have their turn in the rotation. If you live in VA or looking for a quick stop off 75 this place is well worth the stop.“
“We came across Mr. Tako when driving to another place, we looked them up and went there that same day because we had to try them. We only tried the Asada Fries this time and man were they good. The lady taking our order was soo nice, she let my husband taste 2 of the drinks to make sure he liked them before buying them. We will be back to try more good.“
“The cozy ambiance of this Mexican restaurant creates a welcoming atmosphere that is popular among locals. The warm and inviting setup adds to the charm of the dining experience, making it a great spot for gatherings with friends or family. We were here with our family for a dinner . While there may have been a slight delay in taking orders, the quick service in delivering the food suggests efficient kitchen operations. This balance between prompt food preparation and a cozy dining environment is commendable. We ordered chicken sizzler and shrimp sizzler along with enchilada and fajitas. Everything was excellent and tasty . Would recommend others , if you want to have nice food and spend some quality time .“
“Ricardo was my server, and he was a wonderful host. The food was on the table in less than ten minutes and he was attentive to refills and ensuring our food was perfect. While I was ordering I even forgot to ask for something off and he asked if there was anything I’d like modified. I wasn’t sure about dessert but when he suggested the sopapillas I couldn’t resist. Everything tasted great, the restaurant was nice and clean, and we even accidentally stayed past closing (which I try never to do) and there was no indication of dissatisfaction as he said it was more important that we were happy so that we would come back.I don’t suggest staying after hours because it’s not fair to everyone who needs to go home but I can suggest you try this restaurant.“
“Amazing good food! The menu is like no other 'Mexican' food place I've been to. They have things which I had never eaten before, which is unusual for me. Not a single one of them that I did not like, and almost all of them I loved.“
“So tasty!! And the lady that helped us was super nice. I can't stress enough how good the food is here. From the tacos to the sauces, everything is delicious. You definitely get a lot of food for your money as well. This was my first time here, but I will definitely be back. By far my favorite taco spot I've tried in this area, and I've been to a few out here.“
“Visiting family in the area and they took us here for lunch. It was excellent. They brought us out some samples of new items they were working on and they were great. This hot salsa/pico thing was amazing. Everything we ordered was top notch. I gave in and got some tres leches...some of the best I've ever had. Actually, it was the best I've ever had. Definitely check them out if you're in the area. They are definitely on our list for repeat business when we go back for visits.“
“My best friend recommended this restaurant. On our way home, we decided to stop by. Even though we don't live close by, we were glad we stopped because the food was amazing. Our server, Anthony, was extremely attentive and patient with our indecisive children. Despite complicated requests, he went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. The drinks were a bit pricey, but definitely worth it. Food is reasonably priced. We haven't had Tex-Mex this good in a while, and for my husband to say that says a lot!“
“I come here often and I am always met with great service. They are very polite and the food is sooo delicious ? it's the most authentic Mexican food I've had around here.Must try for any California native and anyone looking for good Mexican foodThey also have nice art and decor.“
“My first visit to Petras was amazing! The service was exceptional. Our waitress was incredibly friendly and courteous. The drink order/chips and salsa came out incredibly fast as did the meals. I would highly recommend the Sour Cream Enchiladas. They were really good as was the beans and rice. Petras is easily 5 stars and a place to take friends or family.“
“El Mejor Mexican Kitchen in McKinney delivers an authentic dining experience worthy of its name. The atmosphere buzzes with a lively spirit, matched by five-star service that makes every guest feel like family. Sipping on their house margaritas, which hit the perfect note of zest, I reveled in the gluten-free offerings—especially the Carne Asada tacos wrapped in soft corn tortillas, rich in flavor and crafted with care. Overall, El Mejor gets a glowing 5-star rating, with its culinary prowess shining through every gluten-free bite. A must-visit for anyone seeking genuine Mexican cuisine served with a generous helping of hospitality.Dietary restrictions: Gluten freeGFGluten“
“Very authentic food. The place is small but the friendly staff more than make up for it. The prices are reasonable. I was very impressed by the cleanliness. If the bathroom is dirty - I won't eat there. As I believe there's a direct correlation to the cleanliness of the kitchen. We will be back.“
“It's something to be said about going to dinner on a Saturday evening and not having to wait 45 mins-1 hour! I'm too hungry to wait lol. We arrived to a crowd in the lobby and was told that it would be a 15 minute wait and I was pleased when it ended up being less than the quoted time. Our server was personable and efficient. I ordered Chile con queso for the appetizer, birria tacos for myself, chicken fajitas for my partner, and a top shelf margarita. The food was delicious and we didn't have to wait long at all after ordering. The chicken on the chicken fajitas was seasoned well. The Chile con queso was decent, I'm sure the one with ground beef in it would've been better. My only complaint is that my drink wasn't good and I expected better from a Mexican restaurant. The restaurant was nice and clean. I'll be back for those birria tacos and excellent service!“
“Me & my family came by and got 2 dozens of the red pork tamales, omg we really enjoyed them , very very good kinda reminded me of back home. Great service called in the order a day before thanksgiving next morning the tamales were hot and ready and very delicious! Thank you for your delicious cooking! Will be coming again soon.“
“Every time I come here it’s great. My order has never been wrong and the person I deal with is generally in a good mood and does good customer service which I know can be hard in fast food. And it’s well worth the price vs Taco Bell and taco Bueno (especially the Princeton bueno if u know u know)“
“Great food for a very good price. I ordered the Pechuga Primavera and my wife ordered the Salmon a la Parrilla. Both dishes were very tasty and full of flavor. The meal starts with chips and salsa. Good chips and a medium spicy salsa. We skipped the appetizers since there were just 2 of us. I also did not order drinks because I noticed soda comes by the can and didn't want to pay for each can on my refills. We stuck with water. Tea or lemonade wouldn't be a bad option. The Mexican rice was flavorful and complimented the meals well. My chicken and veggies meal comes with tortillas, so in essence you are eating chicken and veggie fajitas (sort of).Our waitress was very friendly and helpful.I would come back here if some friends invited us to join them. It was very good, but not great. It is certainly worth a trip for a good meal. With such a huge variety of Mexican restaurants in Collin County, there are several other places that make the list ahead of Anamia's. Good food for sure, and I hope to be back another time for a different entree, but still not ahead of places like Christina's, Blue Goose, or Gloria's.“
“Taco Tuesday here is a must! It's great that they have liquor here too, but the tacos are the main reason I keep coming back! The green and red salsas are spicy and the $1.25 tacos on Taco Tuesday taste fresh and delicious! They have a drive thru which came in handy when it was raining!“
“The food really wasn't anything to brag on. Kitchen was slow (couldn't time everyone's meals within a couple minutes of each other). And the old chunky male who leers at female employees was yelling at everyone in Spanish as always.“
“We ordered takeout, and the man who took our order was friendly and offered suggestions when asked. We ordered a burrito and a chicken fajita chimichanga with queso on the side for both. My husband said his burrito was good, but I was disappointed with the chimichanga. I didn't realize that the only ingredient inside the chimichanga was the chicken fajita meat; I thought there'd be cheese, maybe some onions and fajita veggies. There weren't. Just the chicken. Won't be ordering that again, but we'll be back when we can dine in and try something else.“
