It felt like the perfect spot to linger over a cup of coffee and enjoy the morning with my little family. I was recommended the White Chocolate Mazapan Latte, and well, I couldn’t resist because I am a Mazapan lover! I ordered the White Chocolate Mazapan Latte, and it was nothing short of perfection. The barista crafted it with precision, delivering a beautifully layered drink topped with delicate latte art. The first sip revealed a rich and creamy texture, with the mazapan bold, but soft sweat flavors perfectly balanced by the steamed milk. The slight hint of sweetness lingered on my palate, making it an indulgent yet comforting start to my morning. For breakfast, I opted for the Migas with a side of beans. It was delicious and portion was just right, I actually had leftovers. My spouse chose the fluffy blueberry pancakes, which were equally impressive. They arrived stacked high and adorned with a generous helping of fresh blueberries and a dusting of powdered sugar. A side of maple syrup added a touch of sweetness, and the pancakes themselves were light and airy, making them a true breakfast treat! The service at El Mejor Cafe was great. We will be back! 🫶🏼“

“It has been a few years since I have been back to this spot. I always remembered it was really good. And with my 2nd pregnancy, I crave tacos a lot. I came back today and got the Al pastor tacos and they did NOT disappoint. They were just as amazing as I remembered. I asked for extra onions and cilantro and they did just that. The salsas are soooo good and they make the taco perfect. And I am soooo picky with my sauces. Reasonable pricing as well. Over the years they have to rise with inflation. But they are worth the price versus other places. I got 6 tacos for $15 and a soda. So I spent around $19 with tax. Love this place and will always come back!“

“I've tried Valerie's Taco shop two times. The potatoes taco was very salty that I couldn't eat it. Today we ordered a kids bean burrito (too salty), a steak quesadilla (too salty) and a carne asada taco. The carne asada taco was eatable. Horchata and flan are the only two items I do recommend.“

“The food was delicious. I was there with my older sister and my brother. Everyone enjoyed the food and my sister is picky. Traditional local Mexican food. When we first arrived there were several older white and Mexican people having lunch and they were from all walks of life. Good service and as far as I could see it was clean. If I am in Dallas again I will go back for lunch. My sister and brother went back for lunch 2 weeks later. It's really good food.“

I said yes please. The server brings back $9.00, I tell her it should be $11.46, as stated on the receipt. She says oh, that must mean I have it, how much ? I show her the $9.00 she literally just handed me and say 'well, $2.54 more. She hands me a dollar, I repeat $2.54, she hands me another dollar and says they round down and don't give out any change? I'm confused as she walks away. She did not mention i wouldn't get all my change if I paid cash? Is this On The Border protocol? Or why return only $9.00 when the receipt clearly states $11.46“
