“My husband and I discovered this wonderful new Mi Cocina location in McKinney. This restaurant has a fantastic dining area with high ceilings where you can relax and unwind. The food consists of great authentic Tex-Mex dishes. Even though our waiter made a mistake with my order, he is very polite and he apologized. All in all this is a good place to relax, enjoy good food at reasonable prices. We recommend everyone to come here.“
“UPDATE** After 300+ visits still my go to!!How can give Blue Goose 6 stars! After 250+ visits, they've been consistent in everyway. I've only seen 1 or 2 off days in 9 years! I can't say that about any other place. Thank You Blue Goose!!“
“We were looking for authentic Mexican food, but came across this Tex-Mex restaurant instead. The food was delicious. When we arrived we did wait a little bit until a waiter showed up. But they were very attentive and the food was served fast too. The food could be Tex-Mex but it had a lot flavor.“
“Great outside patio for nice days. We had an excellent and friendly server for lunch on a Saturday. The salsa which accompanies the free chips was delicious and not spicy. The kids menu was all right, although my son only ate the fries standard fare Tex mex as far as entrees go, but the service was what stood out. Don’t sleep on the chocolates and sweets at the front!“
“This is a no-frills type of restaurant without any elaborate decor. Nevertheless, you can get great food at very reasonable prices here! The lunch specials are worth taking a look at. The complimentary chips and salsa/bean dip were also very good! Regarding the entrees, the food was served hot and tasted good overall.Service was always very attentive and prompt! I've eaten in the restaurant and ordered to-go food on different occasions, and have been pleasantly surprised by how quick this restaurant has the food ready. Will definitely be back next time!“
“Visiting family in the area and they took us here for lunch. It was excellent. They brought us out some samples of new items they were working on and they were great. This hot salsa/pico thing was amazing. Everything we ordered was top notch. I gave in and got some tres leches...some of the best I've ever had. Actually, it was the best I've ever had. Definitely check them out if you're in the area. They are definitely on our list for repeat business when we go back for visits.“
“El Mejor Mexican Kitchen in McKinney delivers an authentic dining experience worthy of its name. The atmosphere buzzes with a lively spirit, matched by five-star service that makes every guest feel like family. Sipping on their house margaritas, which hit the perfect note of zest, I reveled in the gluten-free offerings—especially the Carne Asada tacos wrapped in soft corn tortillas, rich in flavor and crafted with care. Overall, El Mejor gets a glowing 5-star rating, with its culinary prowess shining through every gluten-free bite. A must-visit for anyone seeking genuine Mexican cuisine served with a generous helping of hospitality.Dietary restrictions: Gluten freeGFGluten“
“It's something to be said about going to dinner on a Saturday evening and not having to wait 45 mins-1 hour! I'm too hungry to wait lol. We arrived to a crowd in the lobby and was told that it would be a 15 minute wait and I was pleased when it ended up being less than the quoted time. Our server was personable and efficient. I ordered Chile con queso for the appetizer, birria tacos for myself, chicken fajitas for my partner, and a top shelf margarita. The food was delicious and we didn't have to wait long at all after ordering. The chicken on the chicken fajitas was seasoned well. The Chile con queso was decent, I'm sure the one with ground beef in it would've been better. My only complaint is that my drink wasn't good and I expected better from a Mexican restaurant. The restaurant was nice and clean. I'll be back for those birria tacos and excellent service!“
“Great food for a very good price. I ordered the Pechuga Primavera and my wife ordered the Salmon a la Parrilla. Both dishes were very tasty and full of flavor. The meal starts with chips and salsa. Good chips and a medium spicy salsa. We skipped the appetizers since there were just 2 of us. I also did not order drinks because I noticed soda comes by the can and didn't want to pay for each can on my refills. We stuck with water. Tea or lemonade wouldn't be a bad option. The Mexican rice was flavorful and complimented the meals well. My chicken and veggies meal comes with tortillas, so in essence you are eating chicken and veggie fajitas (sort of).Our waitress was very friendly and helpful.I would come back here if some friends invited us to join them. It was very good, but not great. It is certainly worth a trip for a good meal. With such a huge variety of Mexican restaurants in Collin County, there are several other places that make the list ahead of Anamia's. Good food for sure, and I hope to be back another time for a different entree, but still not ahead of places like Christina's, Blue Goose, or Gloria's.“
“Fuzzys is our standard taco location. Love their brisket and spicy pork tacos. Chips and queso are typically amazing. Today the chips were stale. Tried the chicken fajita salad and it was good. Restaurant had lots of dirty tables which was annoying and limited where we could sit.“
“Yesterday I got to enjoy taco day with my Favorite workers at Fuzzys , the Food was great and I ordered seven tacos of which filled me up and brought me great joy. The service was Fantastic , as it usually is. God bless those who worked hard making many orders for everyone who came through. And thank you Fuzzys.“
“Been to this location many times, it's what you would expect from an everyday Chili's. Tonight I was overly impressed by my amazing server who, despite having the ONLY full section on an out of the normal busy Monday, was very attentive, hospitable, and in a great mood. Her name was Madi and she blew it out of the water. I found out that the GM Ethan was helping cook in the kitchen tonight as well and it definitely showed, the food was great!“
“Gloria's is pretty darn good to begin with. Some of the best fajitas in the area. Good salsa. Really good queso. Great beans. And I'm told their seafood is pretty darn good too. What really sets this Gloria's apart is their patio. One of the nicest patio setups I've seen in the metroplex. It's huge. It's got retractable walls. It's got heaters. It's got water misters. They really thought of everything.“
