Two years ago, my wife and I walked into this place, got hit with a sewer smell straight to the soul, turned right back around, and wrote it off forever. It was a hard nope from both of us.

But credit where it’s due — we came back a few weeks ago, and WOW… completely different experience.

The smell? Gone.
The vibe? Warm and actually welcoming.
The service? Attentive, friendly, and miles better than before.
The food? Surprisingly solid — way better than what we remembered.

It’s clear they put in real work to fix things: cleaner space, better atmosphere, and a team that actually seems happy to be there. It went from “walk in and immediately walk out” to “sit down, relax, and enjoy lunch.”

I respect a business that listens, improves, and shows it.

“Love the atmosphere, love the food, love the service. Salsa Tex is just a fast paced local Tex Mex Restaurant but the food is very good. The margaritas are excellent as well. There are waits to get a table after 6:00 but typically less than 20-30 minutes.“

“I love the food and drinks at Cristina's - this is only my second time going but each time has been a very pleasant experience. The bartender (LuLu) was very attentive and made sure I had everything I needed. The Happy Hour is a good thing to have and now that I know my favorite margarita is part of that, you will definitely see me more. Thanks for the great experience from the time I walk in the door til the time I leave. Its hard to find places like this - these days.“

I cannot say enough great things about how well Jeremi Woods from the Frisco location handled the situation and made it right. He went above and beyond for me as a customer. “I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Torchys in Frisco, Hollyhock location and I must say, the service and hospitality exceeded my expectations! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the bartender Eric who was very attentive and friendly. Aside from the impeccable service and hospitality, the food was absolutely delicious! “Bartender Mark and Manager Alex were OUTSTANDING! We started with the always delicious, always ordered southwest eggrolls (never skip the eggrolls), then ordered the fajitas for 2. The steak is marinated so incredibly. I will say we came to this location years ago and didn’t have the best experience. I don’t know if management has changed but this visit (and our last door dash order) were both GREAT, thanks in part to the welcoming, friendly, and professional staff. “Bf and I came here tonight for our weekly date night, and there’s not much remarkable to say about it.

Run of the mill chain Tex mex that tasted exactly as one would expect. My steak fajitas were $26, but you get a lot of food (including a HEAP of Spanish rice and lots of tortillas) for the price. It was all just alright, nothing bad but nothing to brag about.

A few minor gripes: one being that our waiter was decently attentive but I was never offered a refill other than a to go cup of my drink (which I took), and the other being that it was INCREDIBLY loud in there. Bf and I were sitting across from each other and eventually gave up on conversation because we had to yell to be heard.

Overall a decent place to have conventional Tex mex, but there is better around, as well.“
