“Have dined here 2 times now.
The quality of the ingredients is high, and can taste the quality in the dishes. Fresh, is the word I'm looking for.
However, from the meals I've had, there is a lack of flavor.
I like their style of salsa, but it lacks salt (I know I can remedy this by adding salt), and has no spice. Their queso is also very lacking in flavor, kind of sweet, and not spicy at all either.
Their tortillas are very good, and are made in house. Big fan of those.
So far, for entrees, I've had the chicken enchiladas, and chicken quesadilla. They were both just, okay.
Again, the ingredients are high quality, but overall, the dishes were lacking seasoning, and salt.
I've just had better tasting Mexican cuisine elsewhere, with larger portions for the same prices they're charging here.
I'll keep giving this place a chance, since it's close to where I live, and I do like the service/atmosphere.“

If you have been to this location in the last 4 years I highly recommend a visit! This great Mexican cuisine comes top down from Lynn and Dave-awesome hardworking partners/owners who make sure you'll come back again and again- we have for several years now at least weekly. “Probably the most picturesque place to eat tacos in North Texas.Excellent fusion style food; my personal favorite are the Thai BBQ fajitas which arrive sizzling on a cast iron griddle in a waft of aromatic smoke. “I catered Fajita meat, both chicken and beef, (trays) and tacos from Fajita Pete's, Carrollton location for my husbands 60th birthday party. They gave me much more food than I was expecting and everything was fresh and absolutely delicious. The pricing is excellent after seeing the amount of food they send. Aden S. (The General Manager) sent the trays of Fajita with plenty of vegetables and all the sides items to make the fajitas such as sour cream, cheese, lettuce, salsa, beans, rice, plenty of chips and delicious guacamole. The tray of taco's was stuffed with a large amount of food. I had asked for Gluten Free food to be kept in a separate tray which it was. Plus he sent me a huge stack of corn tortillas. My son pickup my order and it was hot, packed neat, very clean and was ready for pickup. Adan S. even helped me out with the chafing trays and burners, which made life easier on me. I received so many complements from my guest on how delicious and fresh everything tasted. I can't say enough about how great the food is. More importantly how nice and easy Adan and his staff made this event for me. I had about 55 people to feed and I had plenty of food. I would highly recommend the Fajita Pete's, Carrollton location. The entire staff was super friendly and helpful making my husbands' 60th birthday party a huge success. Stop by and try their food. I think you will love every bit!“

“We stayed for the weekend at the Gaylord Texan as an anniversary trip and our daughter and son in law met us for dinner at the Cantina, just because it's so convenient to eat on property. I was expecting it to be overpriced and underwhelming, but actually, the prices are about average for a more formal Mexican restaurant (as opposed to a small family owned neighborhood tacqueria) perhaps a few dollars more than some places, but not too much. And the food was really delicious, I had taquitos and they were very good. I wasn't even very hungry and didn't think I'd eat it all but I did and was miserably full afterwards, lol. The service was extremely friendly and timely. The atmosphere is of course, very fun in the big dome at the Texan. The salsa is very tasty but it is served warm for some reason and my husband didn't care for that. It's not available chilled. That's not good or bad just a preference. I ordered a coconut margarita and it was very good. For the hassle of having to leave the parking lot and drive into town, unless you have a really really special restaurant, I don't see that it's worth the extra effort, because unlike many reviews I've read I didn't find the prices to be outrageous and the quality was as good as most Mexican joints I've been to and better than many. Recommended if you are trying to have a relaxing stay with minimum hassles. The staff at this Bonvoy location was all outstanding and helpful and it was very refreshing to have my expectations exceeded instead of being disappointed as happens so often these days. I don't mind giving people my money but I'd like to get what I paid for at least, and I feel that we did.“

“I've used the drive-thru and eaten inside. The food is good rather good enough to go back. The tortillas are usually very good. They are fresh, thick and tasty. Most menu items are standard and good enough. I tried a breakfast taco during my last visit. I was given one sauce that was different than other sauces that I've had there before. It wasn't a good match for the eggs and sausage taco that ordered. I do prefer GimmeTaco's breakfast tacos.
The drive-thru experience isn't good and I don't like sitting in the restaurant that much either. I usually order to go inside so I can check my order and go to the salsa bar if needed.
Will probably go back in a few months.“
