Mexican Restaurants in Merkel

“I’ve been to the Blue Burro twice now, both times for the lunch special. The food is great, the help is friendly, and the dining room is as plain Jane as it comes. I had tacos the first time, both crispy and soft, and they were absolutely delicious. Chips and hot sauce are plain, but very tasty. My second visit was for the fried pork chop with a side of white gravy. My sides were french fries and mac & cheese. Again, the food was delicious. Check the menu pic for the weekday specials. I’ve heard that the breakfast tacos and burritos are fantastic, so that’s next on my list. There’s not many reasons you would want to be in Merkel, Texas, but if you are, it’s time to eat at the Blue Burro!“
