“What's great and distinctive about Mezza's is the food. The chef is very creative: I love the mango-stuffed chicken which I've never found any where else in Houston. The little free appetizer of spiced chips you're given is delicious and unusual. Everything thing I've had there has tasted marvelous. I love there hibiscus margarita-type drink. The inside has beautiful modernist decor. I often sit outside on little tables walled off from the parking lot by plantings (not a gorgeous place, admittedly, but pleasant). The wait staff couldn't be friendlier or more efficient.“

“We came to pick up Gluten Free bread for my daughter who needs to now be GF. We also prefer eating GF when possible. We had the rotisserie chicken sandwich with house made pickles and a cup of bone broth. BOTH were excellent! They also said they were seed oil free which is a game changer for us. We do NOT eat seed oils as much as possible. The bread has been fantastic also. Its a little pricey but i feel worth it for the quality you get.“

“We dine at Pico's every 4-6 weeks and enjoy the experience. During a recent visit, it was made even more special to us by our friendly and attentive server, Ruben, who was helpful with menu choices and seemed enthusiastic when talking with us. “Wisdom Cafe is a fine place but the limited choices seem a bit heavy to me. The sandwiches are delicious but all come with fries. Choices are limited and the prices are on the high side for a counter service restaurant. The baked goods include cupcakes and cinnamon rolls that are large and very sweet but our family can split one of their cinnamon rolls into three servings for an after lunch treat and be very satisfied.“

“These are by far the best cupcakes in Houston! First of all the shop is adorable and the people are always so nice! Now for the cupcakes! I am a chocolate girl so two of my favorites are chocolate base. They are soft and moist and melt in your mouth. My top favorite is the chocolate vanilla bean. The chocolate cake is so luscious and the thin topping of silky vanilla butter cream melts in your mouth. The real star of this cupcake is that they take the icing and smoosh it into light blue sugar crystals! This gives the cupcake that added sweetness and texture. It’s just so good!!!!!!!! This is a must try! My second favorite is the strawberry truffle! Who doesn’t love strawberry and chocolate? This cupcake is the perfect combination. The luscious chocolate cake topped with fresh strawberry buttercream. You can see the pieces of real strawberries in the icing! I also highly recommend trying their daily fun flavors. Recently we had the bananas foster( so incredible , filled with a Carmel and topped with a piece of dried banana ) and the lemon blueberry pie( so refreshing and comforting) Seriously you will not be disappointed if you try these cupcakes! We drive all the way from spring to get them!“

When they cane out they were too done. Our server took them back and brought out some fabulous chargrilled oysters!!! They apologized for the first ones and were so kind about it!! Then gave me some crab bisque to make up for it. I really appreciated that they made it all right and the food was great and our server was perfect!! Thank you!
