I first visited Wisdom a few years ago when I was visiting my family in Houston. This past weekend, my sister and I decided to pay a new visit since we were out and about and in the area. I came expecting to buy baked good to take home. That was not the case, more set up as a cafe with some expensive baked treats and a Limited menu. I ordered the lunch special, a black coffee and a slice of dessert. The coffee was excellent, the food was mediocre at best. The service was ok, no silverware or napkin with the food, you have to collect your own from the empty box: small items like this make a difference, I am 50/50 if I ever return.

I visited on an overcast day but I could imagine this spot truly shines in the sunlight. This intimate cozy nook is punctuated by concentrated warm light, brick accents, deep wood tones, blissful tunes, and friendly people. What a win for Spring! I was greeted with a smile and a window display of sweet treats (including an ube cupcake). Everything I ordered arrived hot, fresh, and smelling delicious.
