Jazz Cafe

I was sad to hear that Jazz has permanently closing. As with all businesses in The Permian Basin getting employees is difficult. In Monahans it is even worse because there are more jobs than people. Sorry to see Jazz close.

I didn't know what to expect when I rolled in here at lunchtime. A "jazz cafe" in Monahans? I was skeptical and to make matters worse, I wasn't assuming the food would be good. Well, I was surprised. You don't normally hear "classy" and "Monahans" in the same sentence, but, yes, this little place is pure class, great food and a wonderful atmosphere in the Permian Basin. My wife had eaten here before and took me to it last week. I was impressed with the layout of the place, the artwork on the walls, and the cleanliness.
