“Passing through Monahans for the night, the salad bar at Bar-H had my name on it, after a day of too much heavy food on the road.

All you can eat salad bar, at $10.59, includes beans, soup of the night, which happened to be a very beefy vegetable and potato soup, wonderful buttery, and sweet rolls, and of course chilled lettuce and a variety of fixings including potato salad, macaroni salad, pea salad and your usual veggies plus pickled okra and grilled green chiles which had a wonderful spicy kick to them. A variety of your typical goopy salad dressings were on hand. It would be nice if the establishment could add some appropriate liquid to the dressings to make them a little bit more palatable, but that’s just a small criticism.

Service is friendly and welcoming and casual. Seating is plentiful in the spacious dining rooms, and you can enjoy a pleasant meal in a very family-friendly environment. If I am ever in the area again, I would definitely stop in for the salad bar and maybe one of their wonderful looking steaks.“

“Listen, I travel for work and have been to so many different small towns, and I can honestly tell you it's hard to find good quality food and great customer service in small towns. But this place really did they thing. The food was really fresh, hot and just on point. I had to call them and tell them. Sometimes they need to hear it and not just see the comments and the rating.
