Drinks came quickly...i had the cod basket and my husband had the special chicken fried steak w/mashe potatoes and green beans...he kept talking about how good the green beans were (i didn't try them)...both were good! I was sad that their online menu is not their menu anymore...it is really condensed but the food we had was still good!“
“Traveling thru Texas, I pulled up brisket near me, and Pappy's popped up. Trust me, I got the one meat small plate and had plenty to eat. Brisket was smoked perfect and had great flavor. I love the fact that the BBQ sauce was on the side. Meat was tender, melt in your mouth, and spoke for itself. No sauce is needed. If in the area you will not be disappointed.“
“I have always eaten at Howard's in Ft. Stockton but wanted to eat at the original here in Monahans. The women working there are so wonderful and friendly. I had the double meat double cheese burger with mustard and it was large, hot and well stacked. It's a bigger burger than you get at Ft. Stockton. I always have my burgers at locally owned burger shacks and never eat at the fast food chains because these shack burgers are so much better and I want them to stay in business. Their large whole jalapenos were so good . I love mine SPICY HOT and these were also crisp. No jalapeno is as hot as in the past, but these had a bite. “This is one of the best restaurants in West Texas. Everything is large in here, including the steaks. My 12-ounce had to be at least 16! There is a great salad bar with soups, pasta and green salads. You won't be able to finish before your meal arrives. The waitress is always nearby. They do NOT serve alcohol, but you can bring your own. The prices are cheap for what you get.“
“I think every city should have at least one store!! Duluth Minnesota needs at least 5 (one for each part of town)..., You dont even have to get out of your vehicle and you get great service and if you dont think so, after you finish the mixed drink you ordered after bringing home the bread, milk, carton of smokes, pop, and snacks you got to sit and relax while waiting in your vehicle, you will soon forget it. They made an excellent White Russian!! Prices are comp to less as to the other stores you have to go in..., and byway, they wont send you off with one just for you, but Thirst T's will..“
“Definitely a 5-Star burger shack. The place is VERY unassuming, but the food quality and prices are awesome! Service was friendly and prompt. Don't let the external appearance dissuade you. This is a Must Try place if you're in the Monahans, Texas area. The green chili cheeseburger, and the fried catfish were EXCEPTIONAL! We also really like their onion rings.“
