We decided to eat dinner here on our way home from the Renaissance Festival about 6:00 p.m.
The food was great and the service was excellent.
A special thanks to our server, Michael.
We’ve never been to a Lupe Tortilla and wanted to check out the hype. Our first ever visit was absolutely perfect.
Madisyn is a fabulous team member and made sure we were well cared for. They were busy, but we never felt neglected. Some folks leaving reviews that mention drink timing or waits forget this is a new location and they're busy as soon as they open, it will take time.
The food: hands down the best TexMex we’ve had in the area to date. Everything was...read full review
All the others are great. This one had no less than 30 cars for staffing. We were turned away because they were accepting by invitation only. Like the food, but this isn’t “The Four Seasons”. If you aren’t ready for opening then wait. The parking lot wasn’t even full.

Lupe Tortilla Mexican Restaurants offers a lively and flavorful dining experience, but some inconsistencies impact the overall customer experience. The restaurant is known for its delicious dishes like fajitas, which are often praised for their limey taste, and the chicken fajitos and charro beans are highlighted as very good. The ambiance can be noisy, even during lunch hours when it’s not particularly busy, and the host tends to pack tables closely together, which some customers find uncomfortable. Service quality varies; some servers are friendly and helpful, assisting with drink selections and making the experience enjoyable. For instance, one server was praised for helping choose drinks for a girls' night. However, other experiences include slow and inattentive service, especially with drink refills, and a lack of friendliness from some bartenders, which can detract from the visit.
Food quality has received mixed reviews: some find the chips hard and inedible, while others have experienced overly salty dishes or inedible to-go meals with missing items and cold food. A common complaint is about the pricing policy, specifically regarding happy hour drinks. Customers seated at tables are told that happy hour pricing only applies at the bar, which can be frustrating and feels unfair, especially since the menu and drink orders are identical. This policy is poorly communicated and can lead to disappointment when bills arrive. Despite these issues, the restaurant’s managers are appreciated for their kindness, and the overall environment remains lively and appealing for those seeking a fun Mexican dining experience.
