“First time checking out The Tipsy Chicken on a Thursday and had a great time. Sophie and Amber were fantastic behind the bar — friendly, quick, and easy to talk to. Ryan and John were great company too, fun to swap stories with and hear about the local scene. Shoutout to the KJ for starting my night off right — after my first song he sent me over for a free shot, which Amber poured up. Little touches like that really make a place memorable. As someone who’s been in the DJ/KJ world for years, I’ve seen slow nights turn into packed houses with just a few creative twists: • “First-time singer” spotlights to get shy guests up. • Small bar tab or drink ticket for the crowd favorite performance. • Short themed rounds (“90’s throwbacks,” “duet challenge”) to keep things fresh. The Tipsy Chicken has an awesome base of people and staff — it wouldn’t take much to make Thursdays one of the busiest nights in town. I’ll definitely be back. “This is my home bar. Been going here since 2008. They have great daily specials - $5 for 1/2lb burger on Mondays and get THIS: Tuesday is 2.50 domestic bottles, 16oz drafts, 1/4lb burgers! You can’t beat that anywhere! The service is usually great, even when busy. Shuffleboard tourneys Thursday and Saturday. Karaoke on Tuesday night and the weekends. AMI jukebox you can use an app for. Lots of bar seating and you can smoke inside. Add a few game machines, a couple pool tables and darts - you’ve got the best backroads bar in the county. Crockpot Sundays for NFL watches. Drop in on Friday days for the specials and say hi to Debby, tell her Trav sent you. See you there!

“About maybe 13-15 years ago I came here from England after seeing a friend in Dallas. Some dude walked in with a guitar, got on stage, asked if there were any musicians in the audience and eventually put together 4-5 other people who, after speaking for perhaps 10 minutes, played the most incredible, Pink Floyd / Blues music I’d ever heard. I was blown away. As the guy left later that night, I asked what his name was and he said “Buck.” And he signed me a Dollar that said “thanks for coming to listen to Texas Blues” and I’ve only just found that Dollar, that’s why I’m writing this review now. But I never forgot that night. I asked how it was possible that strangers could play the best blues music after just a few minutes of talking and he said “we just agreed to play in the key of C”. As a non musician, that stuck with me. Now I play guitar and it’s all thanks to Buck. So, wherever you are, buddy. You’re remembered fondly by an English dude who met you over a decade ago.“

“We got a new waitress this time. She is polite and everything, but doesn't know the menu very well and double charged us for a glass of wine. We were disappointed at first, then our usual waiter came along. He made the difference: bring us the usual dish, taking care of our requests quickly... We still love this place!“

“I got a burger, my husband had the chicken sandwich. He tried to swap me! So the burgers are delicious!! Overall price for two meals/drinks and a house salad was $35 before tip. We came in during the start of the dinner rush, it was quiet enough to talk but did have some bursts of loud excited chatter from other patrons. The music was chill and filled the background without overdoing it.“

“When we went we were the only ones dining there so we didn't have to wait for a table. Our food server Rogelio was very professional and courteous. Food prices were very reasonable and they have a pretty good variety of items on their menu. I just had a basic hamburger and it was well prepared and very tasty. My dinner companion had the grilled salmon with steam vegetables and mashed potatoes, and she liked it as well. Overall it's a nice little restaurant in the lobby of the hotel.“
