“Best service ever! Maria is fabulous and remembers me when I see her, which is not too often as Jack in the Box is my guilty pleasure when I go to Murphy to visit my Dr once a month.“

“Usually the staff here is odd, but then, Taco Cabana staff has been pretty bad for several years now. Today, even though they got my order wrong, (they usually do. It never kills me) the guy working was adorable. His name was Isaiah, and he had a smile on his face and was very kind. It's so pleasant to go into businesses that have congenial staff. I've been in customer service for MANY years, and I do my best to be kind, so I expect it from places I give my moolah to. I'm not askin' for much... anyway, this dude shld really be working in a much higher end establishment where his excellent customer service will make him a lot more money!

Vegetarian options: Black beans and rice are animal free, which is so awesome cuz many places use chicken stock in their rice.“

“Great tacos! Super friendly staff, prompt service. Fresh ingredients with amazing concoctions and combination of flavors. It was my first time there, so it was all new to me, but I thought it was better than Torchy's. Or at least a nice change of pace from Torchy's (we eat there a lot) . Can't wait to go back. Fun and clean atmosphere, too.

“I had heard a lot of good things about Velvet Taco so one night after a long days work I saw a location in Richardson and decided to give it a try. The cashier (Cheyenne) was so sweet, professional and had a VERY AMAZING and PLEASANT spirit. For that reason alone I WILL BE BACK.“

BEST and most TENDER!!!!!steak tacos you will ever eat, I'm a blue collar worker and I eat out ALOT, I've been trying for years to find better tacos anywhere in DFW and I've never came even close! I drive from North Fort Worth all the way to Garland TX just to get these tacos, I wish i was joking, I just can't find any better tacos closer to my house.

Even there there rice and baracho beans are way better than anywhere I've ever had. Everything I've had here is great but listen to me when I tell you, GET THE STEAK TACOS!!!
the tenderness and flavor will blow your mind, definitely not what your used to in a street taco! And the sautéed onions are amazing!!!

And the owner/chef is awesome, always super friendly and talkative, and to my suprise even answered my questions when I was asking how he gets his tacos so tender.

I don't think I'll ever find better tacos but I'm still looking

“Pro: Excellent flavors. Cons: Not cheap, minuscule amounts of protein in the tacos. Don't understand asking for tips when you order at a counter, pickup at counter yourself and even clean up yourself. It's silly they don't have zero carb tortillas to make their food low carb.“

“Good street tacos. I love they have lengua & barbacoa! It's a bit pricey compared to authentic locations. I suppose the price makes up for availability where some authentic Mexican restaurants run out of lengua or barbacoa rather quickly. However, those places usually have menudo.

“I ordered the food on DoorDash before. Today I decided to pull up an order my favorite beef torta and fries to my surprise it was inside of a gas station. Now eating there already I knew the food was good but now I wanted to see what I was dealing with. Again I was shocked the store was clean. The walls had new Price signs on them and the floor was mopped and smelled clean. As they should , the kitchen was clean and the store was well kept you have to pay at the front counter in order to receive your food and you hand the receipt to a young lady behind the counter and they prepare greatness It is a must try

“I stopped for lunch while running some errands and left with a great impression! The food was really tasty; you can tell everything was fresh and made on the spot, and the agua de Jamaica was delicious and refreshing. The staff was nice, and everything was clean. Initially, the prices seemed high, but the portions are huge, making it definitely worth the cost!“

“This place is hard to find. Not only is there no sign of their logo anywhere visible in front of the cashier booth, but there's no sign outside of the shady gas station it shares. I almost didn't order, since the interior was quite abysmal, but was clean. It's a huge turn off to see the prepared meat sitting in trays, but I was already committed to trying this place, considering the reviews were so good . The lady at the register was super nice, and was bilingual. I was able to practice my order in Spanish, and she responded back in English. I saw a sign apologizing for their increase in prices. I was kind of shocked, because the tacos are already under $2 a piece. This place is quite a bargain compared to other places around Dallas.

I ended up getting three tacos, all on corn. Not only did they give you cilantro and onion, what they give you half a grilled jalapeno and grilled onions as well. Every meat I had was delicious! The only real complaint I can give is that there's no charred exterior, since it was all sitting in a steamer pan. But the lack of charred texture is made up by the moist, flavorful meat. The machete and pastor were both fantastic, but the mole de puerco really stood out to me. The mole one had tons of flavor, and it seems like they make the mole in house. The corn tortillas themselves were soft, but sturdy. The salsa verde and rojo are both fine additions, although I will say the pastor and mole de puerco overpowered any sauce I put on top of it. Overall an affordable and delicious meal.“

“TLDR: food is good but you have to check your order before you leave. I love this place. I really really love their food, but every single time I make an online order they miss something. My daughter only eats their rice and they always forget it. It’s happened twice before. So this time I asked my mom to check for the rice in which they did forget. She comes home but this time they’re also missing half a dozen of tamales when I ordered a dozen! I feel bad because I went off on the young lady when I called and it may not have been her that did it. Anyways, the food is good just check your order before you leave!“
