“A little gem right off the highway. The staff are friendly, the taco selection is phenomenal and the food is delicious. Loved my pork belly and fried shrimp tacos, the elote is the best I've ever had and those churros are hot, crunchy and cinnamon so good. Thank you for Easter lunch, highly recommend!“
“This brunch place is a hidden gem! From great food, exceptional service, nice atmosphere, and many more, this place is my favorite brunch place near this area. Their signature croffle is perfect in taste and texture, you will HAVE to try! Highly recommend this spot??“
“We go here every couple of weeks. They have a super solid Cuban sandwich and the best Horchata around! I always get take-out so I can't comment on the service or atmosphere, but it is in a gas station, which means the food has to be good! It's a rare person who would pick a gas station taco shop for its atmosphere.Great value as well: you won't spend more than $12/person for plenty of food and breakfast the following morning.“
“Velvet Taco is a standout choice for those seeking a diverse array of vegan options. The customizable tacos cater to a variety of tastes, ensuring a unique and satisfying dining experience. With an extensive selection of chips and dip options, the menu offers delightful twists on classic flavors.“
“My wife and I were on the road and hungry - I swear an angel guided us into this spot. The portions, the quality of the food, and the friendliness here was so top notch. I got a taco plate and the spicy quesadillas. My god man… I am so sad that I finished my meal and can’t wait to come back and do this all over again. I wish I took pictures of the food but when it came out I was so ravenously hungry that I eradicated every morsel of food from my plate. You could have been convinced I cleaned that plate with soap and a sponge tbh.10/10 great food.“
“Stop number two today on my quest to find good tacos in Texas. Maybe I'm spoiled by growing up in southern California, but so far I haven't found anything in Texas that compares with the better places in California. El Rumbero however is a step in the right direction. It's a tiny shed in the middle of a parking lot. About the size of the old Fotomat stores if you remember those. Just pick up your food at the window and find somewhere to eat it. There's plenty of parking there, so that's what I did. A very nice lady took my order at the sliding window, for two tacos. One pastor and one pollo. The total with tax came out to under $5. About 8-10 minutes later the window opened up again and she handed over a small bag with my two tacos in it and a couple of very small cups of sauce, one green and one reddish brown. Since this was my second taco stop today (I was doing a comparison) I was looking forward to seeing if it fared any better than the previous one. Well, just opening the tacos up told me it was probably better. The chicken looked to be of better quality, and even smelled better. The pastor looked like pastor that I'm used to, with a deep red color to it. Now for a bite. The chicken was good. It had a nice seasoning to it, and was cooked perfectly. Also, no rubbery bits like the last place I went to. The pastor was also better. Plenty of flavor to it, and neither taco really needed any of the sauce on it, but I tried both anyway and they were good. Overall I think 4 stars is a fair score here. It's not up there with the best of the best taco places that I've been to , but it's the best one that I've been to so far in Texas. If I'm in the neighborhood again I'd certainly think about making a repeat visit.“
“Torchy’s Taco is a good restaurant. This is the first time that I have ever eaten here. I thought the nachos and queso were good. I had two different types of tacos. They were good. For the quality of the food we think it was somewhat overpriced. We recommend this location.“
