This was my first time eating out after living in Nacogdoches. It's a delicious restaurant with lots of food. I'm looking forward to seeing what I'll eat next time.

Do not go here for bbq. The brisket was severed in a sauce soup and the sausage seamed like it was probably cooked several different times. Probably my all time worst experience at a BBQ restaurant...If this was my first bbq exspensive I would never try it again.

Place LOOKED decent. Had great reviews. After eating(what I could force down) there I just wanted others to see this and not be fooled by the 4.6 star average. This is hands down the worst barbecue restaurant I have been to in my entire life. The “bbq baked potato” was a plastic bowl with chunks of potatoes in it, and a lump of “brisket” with some cheese on top. My friend ordered a 2 meat plate. The sausage was incredibly dry. Like it had been smoked 4 times longer than it needed. The “brisket” looked like a pile of fajita meat slathered in sauce. Seems like it’s just sitting back there in a tub or something. Who serves brisket soup? Ridiculous…DO NOT GO HERE. there’s a little shack down the road that just says “smokehouse” that blows butcher boys out of the water.

Great customer service, delicious food and fast service! We were visiting from out of town but we will definitely be eating here again.
Placed order. Kids meal chicken tenders. & Adult chicken tender plate. The only difference is $6 and 1 strip. These strips are bigger than my hands. They're bigger than my kids head! The kids meal is $6. The adult meal is $12. So basically I could have ordered myself the kids chicken strip basket & got just as much & saved $6. Because if you do the math, they're charging $3 a piece for the kids strips (they get 2) Might as well say fries drink & toast is free. Now order the Adult version- you get everything the exact same except they're charging you a whole extra $6 for that 3rd strip. And again, these strips are humongous! But they could have at least doubled the order for the adult plate & gave us 4 strips for the price we're paying. I really feel bamboozled. & The ketchup has High Fructose Corn Syrup which is the LAST thing you want, especially if you have kids! Next time we'll just continue to get the burgers & stuff potatoes. I'm really disappointed in Butcher Boys though, ripping people off.
The chicken fried steak is huge and the absolute best I have ever had husband said his burger was really good too. This was our first visit my husband was a bit indecisive about what he wanted and the girl taking our order seemed annoyed the only issue we had was all of the tables were dirty. So 5 for food, 3 for service and 3 for atmosphere. The bathrooms needed some attention as well.
I went to get an order of their fried green tomatoes but sadly they said out of season, didn't understand that how they could be out. Ordered my husband a link sandwich I said mild link and they made it HOT !!! I always have heard good things but my experience wasn't that great. I guess because I am not a regular!!!
Pretty good place to go get a burger. I ordered the patty melt and it was pretty good. They have really, really good french fries. Good atmosphere. Fairly quick service. Good

One of my favorite places to eat in the state; a national treasure. Burgers are top notch, ground in house and well-dressed. The best class of hand-battered onion rings, chicken strips, and chicken fried steak you can find. The ranch is the "good kind" mixed in house. I'm probably the only person who's ever ordered their salad, but it's a really, really good salad and it comes with the aforementioned ranch and chicken strips (optional, but recommended). I think of this place like it's a little church. I'm not joking or exaggerating. You can also pick up both the red and black waxed cheddars, and an assortment of in-house smoked meats and baked pies. If this existed in any other town or time, or owned by lesser men, it would have been stretched out, franchised, and surrounded by 10ac of parking lots, and it would cost twice as much to visit. We're likely not to see another of its ilk in our time. God bless Butcher Boy's.
