One of my favorite places to eat in the state; a national treasure. Burgers are top notch, ground in house and well-dressed. The best class of hand-battered onion rings, chicken strips, and chicken fried steak you can find. The ranch is the "good kind" mixed in house. Popular lunch joint in Nacogdoches. We were here for lunch. I ordered the brisket sandwich (sliced) without onions, and my husband ordered the spicy sausage sandwich. Both were excellent. The brisket was extremely lean with only one teeny piece of fat. It wasn't swimming in BBQ sauce and was delicious. The chicken fried steak is huge and the absolute best I have ever had husband said his burger was really good too. This was our first visit my husband was a bit indecisive about what he wanted and the girl taking our order seemed annoyed the only issue we had was all of the tables were dirty. So 5 for food, 3 for service and 3 for atmosphere. The bathrooms needed some attention as well.
