Kroger has gone to the dogs. Every day one of the foods I have purchased disappears only to be replaced by some gimmick item. They have taken out half the register to put in self checkout. To purchase beer you have to wait for the last employee to wander over put down their snack at punch your screen.
Definitely the best grocery store in town. Fresh produce, more choice for organics, speedy check-out, and a staff that is friendly and responsive. It's refreshing to go into a store where the employees actually know something, and have the authority to do things to deal with challenges on the spot. Deep discounts for gasoline at their gas pump, for frequent shoppers -- up to $1 per gallon off.
