These are probably the most beautiful donuts you're gonna find! They always look so gourmet, but they're very inexpensive. A dozen is like $10, which is a steal. I highly recommend!
I took a donut cooking class at Sur la Table so I have learned why donuts at some shops are soft and fluffy and at others they are tough and chewy. The dough cannot be rolled out more than twice before the texture gets unpleasant, but many shops roll them out additional times to cut costs.
I do not believe this shop overworks their dough because the donuts are absolutely perfect every time.

Grew up with this Lil shop since it was in Stafford. Love it! It had been a long time since I had been through those doors. Glad to know they have not changed a bit. Including their recipes

The Donut Shop is a charming restaurant known for its delightful kolaches and tasty treats. The young men working in the mornings, as well as the personable owner, create a welcoming, down-home atmosphere. The staff is especially friendly toward children, making it a great spot for families. Located near Hwy 36 and an elementary school, it's an ideal breakfast spot with real sausage in their kolaches.
