“I wanted to get a mango cake for my husband and was going to drive all the way to Chinatown. I found this place literally 5-8 mins away from me so went here instead. The mango cake was good but there's something with the outer icing I did not like as it was SOLID, which was weird as I've left it out for hours. This is why there's one less star as well. The cake would have been perfect and I would have ignore that icing issue if there were real mango fruits on there. I did have mangos at home that I cut and placed on it, which made it so much better!
This is a solid cake place if you need to grab something at the last minute or even pre order.“

“Venturing into this local donut shop, I found myself experiencing a mix of the highs and occasional lows mentioned by others. The charm of a small, mom-and-pop establishment is immediately apparent, offering a warm and genuinely friendly welcome that sets a pleasant tone for the visit. It’s clear this isn't a large chain, and that intimate atmosphere is definitely part of its appeal.
On the product front, the donuts truly live up to the hype from many positive reviews. They taste freshly made, and while the variety might not be extensive, what they do, they do exceptionally well. I can certainly see why some consider them among the best. The kolaches, particularly the savory options like the sausage and cheese, are a highlight – savory and satisfying, perfect for a quick breakfast.
However, I did encounter the common lament: they do seem to run out of donuts surprisingly early. It's a double-edged sword; a testament to their popularity and freshness, but also a bit disappointing if you arrive hoping for a specific choice only to find limited options. Despite this minor snag, the overall quality of the pastries and the genuinely welcoming service make this a place worth visiting. It's the kind of spot you could easily find yourself returning to day after day, provided you get there early enough for the full selection!“

“I took a donut cooking class at Sur la Table so I have learned why donuts at some shops are soft and fluffy and at others they are tough and chewy. The dough cannot be rolled out more than twice before the texture gets unpleasant, but many shops roll them out additional times to cut costs.
I do not believe this shop overworks their dough because the donuts are absolutely perfect every time.
I have only two complaints … I do wish they had custard-filled maple bars, and I wish they were open a bit longer. But, I would rather they did a few offerings well than try to offer everything but the donuts are chewy or stale.“
