Three times I have gone in about 45 minute before the advertised closing time and they informed me the dining room is closed. You can can’t have average food and poor service. The truth is they just want to serve takeout.

Star Asian Cafe, located just south of downtown Needville, serves excellent Asian Fusion food with fast and friendly service. The food is delicious, with good portions. Popular meals include orange chicken and General Tso Chicken. The orange chicken is fresh and juicy, though the sauce can be too watery and make the rice soggy. The pricing is very reasonable. The owners and front counter gentleman are super friendly, though one host was noted as solemn and not very social. The atmosphere is plain. A large aquarium in the dining area is in very poor condition, with green cloudy water, visible algae, and dirty gravel. This detracts from the otherwise pleasant environment. The restaurant is recommended for its tasty food, such as the General Tso Chicken, and generous portions that often provide leftovers for a second or third meal.
