“Went last night (6-17-2026) when we arrived we were the only ones in the place, we ordered beer (they are $4 on wednesday). Then the fun began, they were doing a cooking with Casper (chef) that we were not involved in, I asked Casper about the blueberry mouse, I do not like mashed fruit, Casper brought us some and then a whole plate of different desserts. We ordered our food, I got the brussel sprouts, my friend got the fig flat bread, both were delicious. We were then treated to scones and biscuits they made in the cooking class. “First time to this establishment. New to Denton, so I’m still trying out different restaurants in the area. Went there with some friends for an after graduation dinner.
I was immediately impressed with the generous portions of food that was being served. The fajitas were amazing and so was everything else that was being served. The rice was perfect and it truly complimented the fajitas and beans. The carne asada was super delicious and very tender. Zero fatty grizzle on it and seasoned to perfection. The sour cream enchiladas were some of the best I’ve ever eaten. They always say that the salsa and chips is the beginning of a positive dining experience, and the attentive servers that are making your visit unforgettable.
Well this restaurant gets a 10 out of 10 because of their level of service from their associates. Everyone was kind, cheerful, polite and professional. It always starts with leadership and it shows immediately. Arturo, GM/Owner was taking the time to walk the floor and visit with each table. That’s a sign of someone who takes pride in their work and cares enough to interact with their customers. These are the places that make you come back again.

“First time visitor to The Colony Fun Pizza Kitchen location. I placed a to-go order online. My order was ready about 5 minutes after the estimated time, which was fine with me. I ordered a 10 inch build your own personal pizza with a gluten free crust with beef, cheddar cheese, marinara sauce, and pineapple. I would have added more toppings, however, with those toppings alone it was $20.98 pre-tax. The gluten free pizza crust was not chewy or dry like some places. Overall, the pizza was very tasty, especially the marinara sauce. Their marinara seasoning blend was one of the best I have ever tasted. I would revisit, but not that often due to the price.“

“My family and I enjoy this location, more since they moved as there is much more parking though getting out on Swisher and heading west can be a bear during traffic times. They should install a light here as there is a lot of Chick traffic and the apartment complex.

Smile on his face the entire time, creating a happy environment for the clients and a pleasant work environment for the staff. He was short a cashier/waitress but you couldn't tell. “My 4 year old got so excited when one of the Lady managers struck up a conversation on how pretty her dress was. While I was ordering Iris is usually shy around new people but took to her and did her own 4 year old conversation. How pretty her dress was and made it a awsome experience for Iris. “Beautiful displays. Excellent friendly cashier. I like soft music that is playing, but it is a little loud at times. We had regular coffee. We asked for and got ceramic mugs. There are 4 coffees at the coffee bar to choose from. I first tried a small amount of the dark roast. I was concerned from past experience that it wouldn't be hot. It was not hot, but lukewarm at best. My husband got a cup of hazelnut flavored coffee. It was hotter and had some steam coming off of it. I got the hazelnut flavor which was OK for being hot. I added skim milk. There is a microwave for use below the coffees. There's no outdoor seating here. I can see an open closet through an employee only doorway, and this is sloppy looking. The cold drink bar should be kept pristine, and it isn't.“
