“Always good, always fresh, always busy! It's Americanized Chinese food not traditional Chinese and it's delicious! We always get a little of everything, make our own little buffet. Faves: Lo mein (any of them), Fried rice, Beef broccoli, egg rolls, any shrimp dish, puffs. Only wish they would make the broth stronger for the wonton soup, my one and only complaint, which isn't really a complaint since it's really personal preference. (I think that's what most people need to understand about their reviews) Most are not reviews on the food or that it's bad, it's "didn't have this in it" Well it's not your recipe. "wasn't cooked the way i would've cook it" You asked someone to cook for you, so no it's not your way. "not like my mom's" BECAUSE it's not your mom's. "It's too expensive" to You it is. My favorite "portions are too small" I'm gonna keep my comments to that review response to myself.....BUT if I was to respond in any way I'd say maybe you prefer a buffet. Again I feel those are all personal feelings not food reviews. Just try it, ignore the nonsense. Cheers!“

“We had the Calamari. It was very tender. I had shrimp lo mein and he had spicy scallops with vegetables. Both were delicious and generous portions!“

“Ok so I stop by to have lunch and it was very good and over all portions were just right and flavor is on par with traditional Chinese food.
1 Hot & Sour soup was good and tasty, flavor was just right and no sugar added, that’s how Hot & Sour soup should be.
2 the spring roll that comes with lunch is very good and handmade not like your package spring roll, definitely good and crispy! With homemade mustard and their chili it’s just another level
3 I had the Hunan Chicken and flavor definitely is excellent and the Vegetable is fresh and well blend with the taste.
Over all definitely would be back and around this area, well if you tried you would come back again.“

“After three visits here, it still holds true. Great tasting, fresh food. Everything we've tried has been awesome. They are probably the last restaurant around that still makes the general tso chicken spicy, and haven't switched to that sweet sauce. Love it!! Staff has always been super friendly whether it was delivery or in person at restaurant.“

“The Shrimp is big. Bigger than most other restaurants. Shrimp low mein or sweet and sour are great. The dumplings are my favorite. The chicken is also great. They also have cheesecake and frozen pineapple. I always dine in. There's always a place to sit. Great soothing music. It's relaxing.“

“If you grew up in The Woodlands like I did (1983 - present), you definitely know Chef Chan's is the best Chinese food around. When we have family come visit from other states, they always request we "order Chinese food from that one place" while they're in town. The Grogan's Mill Shopping Center used to be its home back in the day, but long story short, it's now at the Indian Springs Shopping Center where Lake Woodlands and Woodlands Pkwy intersect. THIS IS THE ORIGINAL "OG" CHEF CHAN'S!!! Give them all your money, and tell them that Anthony says, "Hi!" “It smelled really fishy the first time we went there but the next few times it wasn't as bad. I like the grill where they make your food and there's enough healthy things to eat there, but you can't go wrong with the grill - you just pick your food out. I'm sure the quality isn't all that but hey you know what you're getting into by going here. They have sushi too but I dunno it doesn't seem super fresh and tasty. It's okay I guess, just depends on what time you go for the sushi. I like the cork artwork booths, there are nice. I like to get the soups as well as the salad bar.“

I used to go to the original one by University of Houston almost 20 years ago. Apparently that chef is now here! “My roommate loves this place. It has come along way from a few years ago. The son checked us out upfront. He was nice and professional. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. The place was clean with fresh food in the buffet. The buffet was kept very clean and stocked.“

“I have been to this location for 6yrs now. I've experienced different front counter experiences. I am long over do in leaving a review I just had to as I head to pick up my order today. I love it when the gentleman remembers my order my Szechraun Shrimp ? ? extra mushrooms extra spicy extra brown sauce w/ steam rice. It really makes me appreciate their customer care to ensuring the order is right and the way I like it. So hats off to this location. Thanks for making me feel appreciated every visit. “
