“I had a wonderful experience at Mexican Mom's kitchen. The service and food are notch. The menu has a section that changes weekly with new items and a regular menu that never changes, so you visit every week and try something new every time. The appetizer was wonderful, and I wish I had remembered the name of it, but the next time I visit, I will remember to check. The beef Empanadas and my chocolate tres Leche were the best I have had in a long time. ? Bravo!Kid-friendliness: There is an area that has clean working toys and books for kids and adults to take to the table for entertainment.Wheelchair accessibility: There is handicapped parking.“

“Cyclone Anaya's was a nice place to eat on the waterway in The Woodlands! I always love the atmosphere here and it's in the middle of the downtown Woodlands area which means you can enjoy a nice dinner and go for a walk after. Overall my experience here was good and the food was enjoyable and worth coming back to visit again. We came here to celebrate an occasion and were greeted and seated within about 20 minutes. The good thing is if you need to kill time while waiting for a table, you can always go for a walk on,the river walk. The food here is good but unfortunately I can't say it's exceptional. The recipes are the standardized "gringo" version of Mexican food and in my opinion it was slightly salty but the portions were good. We ordered for the fish tacos, the summer special, the Del Rio and also the chicken quesadillas. All the food was good and was served rather table rather quickly. **I would like other patrons to be aware of an disappointing situation that I think the restaurant needs to improve on communicating: We had requested two small bowls of the queso for our free tortilla chips and found out at the end on our bill that we were charged $11 PER BOWL, which was never originally clarified by the waiter and is exceptionally high-priced. The ambiance of the restaurant is comfortable and the layout is nice and not too loud in here. The staff is very courteous and attentive and provided a great service! The restaurant offers the option of both indoor and outdoor seating so no matter what the weather is you can find comfortable table with a nice view. Overall I give Cyclone Anayas Tex-Mex kitchen a 4 out of 5 stars with note of the high cost of the queso balls being too high. Also you can expect to pay about $30+ per person for a dinner each I did enjoy my experience and will come back again.“

“We went for lunch, the service is absolutely wonderful! Food is unreal! I feel I’m back in Mexico eating good quality seafood in a restaurant on the side of the beach in Puerto Vallarta, you can’t beat the friendliness of the staff and the GUAVA pie… Oh my God!! Best pay I’ve eaten and now one of my favorites!“

“I have been to hundreds of eloteros but none have been as good as Chucho's. The corn will always be fresh and there are toppings available for you to use to your liking. His homemade sauces are amazing and he treats you like family. There isn't much more that you could ask from a corn business. This place checks all the boxes.“

“Found this place this morning when I was searching for breakfast tacos. This is a real find. I had the tacos ala Mexicana with egg, onion, jalapenos and added cheese and chorizo. The flour tortilla was cooked to perfection, with ample delicious filling. I asked for several sauces and they were all good but the green was nothing short of magical. I no longer live here but visit often and will be back every time I am in the area. Support this family owned business. It is wonderful.“

“Very nice and novel combinations of different cuisines. Some sounded daring, like sashimi style fish with a strawberry based sauce, but without exception all were very well balanced and tasteful. If you enjoy new, and excellent, culinary experiences make sure to visit.“

“Food was mid, not really worth the price unless you’re celebrating an anniversary, cuz let’s be real we all here are trying to save up money, plus the natural fruit drinks are 10$ whole bucks with NOOO REFILLS, this is just my personal experience n opinion, im not commenting to be negative this restaurant is as authentic as it could be for Mexican place n I only recommend you to go here if you fr got big bux in your pockets especially if you’re planning to come with the whole family“

“Such nice people! The waiter was great, and they are very conscientious of people with allergies. We ordered the chicken and lobster fajitas. (We ordered the medium size, which was more than enough for my husband and I! We had leftovers!) The fajitas were delicious and accommodated our dairy-free request.Dietary restrictions: Just tell your waiter/waitress your dietary restrictions! They are very accommodating.“

“Walked into this place not knowing what to expect. Ordered the guac and polo tacos and wow! Both delicious! Love the decor and vibe. Only negative is air freshener was a bit strong, like a window needs to be opened it's too much! Otherwise fantastic service and good.“

“We were patrons of Mario's before they opened El Portal. We have always enjoyed their food and friendly service.Dietary restrictions: The food isn't salted too much. Since older folks are on salt restrictive diets this is important.“

“This is one option in a food truck park with 5-6 other food trucks. El Mictlan was our choice for vegan/vegetarian. I had the Chilaquiles and my friend had the Tacos Dorados. Both were spicy, but not overwhelming and had good flavor. The server took our orders and made recommendations. He was polite and brought the food to the table quickly. Seating is outdoors on picnic tables, but they have turf in the eating area so it's not muddy. Tables also have umbrellas to provide shade from the sun. Enjoyable experience. Will try them again when I'm in the area.“

“Why 5 stars? Because the quesabirria hit the spot. --- --- --- My wife and I were heading back home from Houston and I wasn't really hungry for dinner after a heavy, late lunch. I just wanted some cookies, so we stopped at a nearby place for just that. As we were walking in, my wife said, "I think I actually want something savory more than sweet". Like Pavlov's dog, I *immediately* also wanted something savory. We skipped the cookie idea and decided to swing by this food truck instead. It's hard for me to resist ordering quesabirria when I see it on a menu, and there was no temptation to sway from that here. This meal was exactly what I was looking for: delicious sustenance, but not an overwhelming amount of food. And while there is another food truck that still holds the G.O.A.T. status when it comes to quesabirria, I think Cinco De Mayo is solidly in the running for the 2nd or 3rd best that I've tried. I personally prefer tipping in salsa over what normally comes with quesabirria. I know that's kind of the whole thing that makes the dish what it is, but I've never been one to be swayed by what everyone else is doing. The green sauce was delicious and an ideal pairing, IMO. Now, did I wake up at 2am with heartburn because I have a faulty esophagus? YEAH. But was it all worth it? You bet.“

“A hidden gem in the Woodlands. I am a Chilango (México City Born and raised) and these are the best tacos we have found in the Woodlands. My wife and I just came from having few drinks at a speakeasy bar (Sabbatical Spirits) and stop by for some tacos and a Bohemia Beer. Our relatives that come to visit from MX love these tacos. Our favorite are Mar y Tierra with Corn tortilla. And we also order kalifa fries“

“Food is good but on more than two occasions when the old woman takes the charge she chooses to add her own tip at the end of my transaction. Where is the integrity??I don’t know what that is about but I will be paying with cash from here on out if I ever decide to stop here again.“

“Caffe Di Fiore is a total hidden gem located in the back of the woodlands near 2874 and woodlands Parkway. The food is absolutely delicious, staff is super friendly and professional, parking is not a problem. The menu has a wide range of food to pick from. Prices are reasonable and best of all the food comes quickly. I’ve been there 3 times and loved it each time. If you love authentic Mexican food this is your place.“

“I was in search of breakfast tacos, and I found my new favorite spot. Their tortillas are made fresh, and all the food overall was delicious. They offer several variations of sauces, which you can also purchase. I really like that because I prefer fresh versus buying at the grocery store with all the preservatives. The restaurant itself is bright and beautifully decorated. High top and table seating available. The staff are friendly and service is quick. Parking is convenient.“

“I have been here a few times. Most of the visits were positive. The place is decorated very nicely and is clean!! The people are nice and the food is good and reasonable. The last time I was here, the waitress wasn't as good. There were only 5 tables on a sunday and two waitresses. It wasn't that busy. Our table was the biggest with 9 people. The food took a minute to come out. It was hot and only one mess up, which was corrected right away. The waitress, however, filled our drinks when we ordered, filled everyone else's one more time, and that was it. She didn't check on us at all after that. I had asked for a refill 3 times and didn't get it. Then I had to approach her in front of another staff member and basically demand-which I hate doing, it's rude-just for a refill. The gentleman was very nice, apologized, and immediately refilled the drink. The waitress still didn't come back to the table except to give checks and take payments. We had to help ourselves to the take home containers. This is the only time I had a less than stellar visit. Usually, the wait staff is very attentive and friendly. The owner is very nice. The food is always hot and fresh. I will be back and bring more people. Everyone I have brought so far has really enjoyed this place. Give it a try as it is family owned!!“

“This is our go to for Mexican near the woodlands. The food is always good, but make sure to check your to go orders. I don’t think they have ever gotten an order completely right the first time. And we only have 2 people to order for so it’s usually a couple enteees and an appetizer. But overall it’s a good spot that we frequent.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free“

The restaurant is very clean the employees great everyone with a kind hello and a smile. The food is very good that we went back that day for lunch which was delicious. “In for a conference and decided to try this place close to my hotel, and WOW what a treasure. Food was top notch, service was outstanding. Loved the thin chips and warm delicious salsa, as well as the avocado blend cold salsa. I had the chicken mole enchiladas (that they let me sample the mole first to see if I would like it) what restaurant would let that happen? You will not be disappointed!!!“

“We went at 7pm today and got margaritas and the appetizer with ceviche, guacamole, quesito, and cocktail shrimp and it was fantastic!I grew up in South Houston in an all Mexican neighborhood, and this food flavor is authentic, reminds me of being a kid growing up hearing Selena wile eating elote while riding my bicycle. The Stuffed Beef Fajita Avocado was perfectly crisp and tasteful. Everything tasted fresh, even the chips and perfect salsa with onions and cilantro. Our glasses never got empty, the service was A+ from the busboys and waiter, Jose.Music is loud enough not to hear other people, but quiet enough to hear your table. It’s a family restaurant, so if you don’t want to hear a baby cry occasionally, then sit near the bar or on the patio.Restroom was spotless. Our waiter Jose was kind and helpful. Great job!“

“This is one of our favorite date night places. The food is always fabulous, service is usually great, but not always, but then they can get pretty busy and I didn't know how their system works. The margaritas are a little pricey, even happy hour, especially for their size. They're not bad, but there's other great places for that value. We love the tamale corn cakes, avocado shrimp relleno, the large Guadalajara enchilada sampler platter (?)Roasted Chile creamy soup (exact name?)along with other fabulous dishes.Vegetarian options: They have a small section on menu and options for vegetarian.Parking: There's parking, though later on Friday you might have to sweat it a minute, but we've never had to leave the lot.“

“Food had lots of flavor and was probably the best Mexican food I've had in the area. Only reason that it is a 4 star is because of the atmosphere and the chips. Chips are way to crunchy for my liking but others may disagree. Julio's has multiple daily specials and is going to be a regular spot for me and my family.“

“Well the food was good but not great. The service was good but not great. The music was from the 70s. If you are a Mexican restaurant, you should be playing Spanish music, not music from the '70s. All in all I gave it a four star. I will have to think about coming here again. Not sure if I will. Not sure if I won't. Met the owner. He was very nice. But it was the music that really turned me off to the place. If you would like to visit this place I suggest you should only because the food was good. The atmosphere is nice and the decor is really in good taste.“
