“We heard family talk about how good Chuy's was and we have been looking for good Mexican food. We were in the area and thought we would give it a try. OH MY!!!! The restaurant is decorated very colorfully and our waiter, Kevin, was cheerful and attentive. We received our chips and salsa...AND...the creamy Jalapeno dip. That was like jalapeno ranch dressing. Both were good and the chips were great. We ordered the steak burrito with hatch pepper, Mexican rice, and beans, and a chicken enchilada (a la carte). The food came out in a reasonable amount of time and was hot. The green chili on the enchilada was bland and seemed like it needed another ingredient. The hatch green chili sauce on the steak burrito had good taste and was slightly spicy (for me).
Overall, the food was some of the better Mexican food we have tried in the last few months. The cost was reasonable, getting out of the door at $33 including tip and fountain drinks.“

“I travel the states and all of Texas frequently, I’ve been a loyal patrol since the 80’s. Enjoying this family restaurant since the days on Federal Road, it’s all you need for the best service and cuisine of its type. It’s a must if you’re into the real deal. Best queso, chips, Rita’s, Horchata and Beef Buritos with Child Gravy and Cheese available plus anything else on the menu, seriously!! I stake my foodie on it. “My favorite place to go on my lunch break! Honestly, I think these are the best tacos I’ve tried. It is a bit pricey but to me it is worth the price, because it’s only a few dollars more expensive than a fast food meal for authentic tacos. The green sauce offered is very tasty and has a great kick to it that I have trouble finding at other taco places. Service has always been good here and the food comes out fast and hot :)“

“I live about an hour and a half away from here but any time we go shopping or are in the Houston area, we stop to eat here. The service is great and the food is better!

The prices are very fair for the quality and portions.

We have tried their tacos, birria tacos and the birria pizza. All of it was not just good, it was perfect. My family loves to stop and eat here and we usually end up buying food to bring home too.

The location is odd but it works! They have tables and a covered seating area so you can eat there or in your car or even at home. Whatever your heart desires but we always eat there and never have a problem.

For anyone who doesn’t speak English, don’t fret, they are bilingual so go get you some good Mexican food and fall in love with all of the flavors!“

“Recently had my husband’s 40th birthday party here using their private room area and it was great! Nelson was so helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. The servers worked hard to stay on top of everyone’s tabs and the fajita buffet was perfect! No one left hungry and the birthday boy was extremely happy with everything!“

Today I came along with my partner, he ordered the Shrimp Enchiladas and I ordered the Crispy Fish Tacos. The freshly hand made corn tortillas on the Fish Tacos gave me a reminiscence of my mother’s cooking. It was hard for me to resist a bite from his shrimp enchiladas; they were cheesy and the tomato sauce is the perfect combination with the shrimp. I always get several things, as I literally can’t narrow it down any further because it’s all amazing lol. Ground beef and pastor crispy tacos with cheese, chicken floutas, ground beef tostada w cheese, and the chicken soup (if they have it), plus a Mexican coke (when in Rome). It seems to be a mother and son operation. It’s always delicious, but when the woman is cooking, it’s like someone’s una poquita abuelita back there making magic!!! 🤤 I highly recommend this place to everyone I know. It can be kinda loud, if there are ppl in there being loud (watching things on their phones, or using speaker phone ANNOYING). There’s an off putting smell when you first walk in, unfortunately (like their plumbing isn’t great), but you get used to it after about 5 min (not my favorite thing to report in a restaurant tbh, but the food is THAT GOOD! It doesn’t deter me). I have eaten here more times than I can count now! My only complaint is that on a rare occasion, they aren’t open during their regular posted hours, so call first to be sure. I drive 20 min or so to get there, so that can be a huge let down when you’re super excited about the most delicious tacos on this side of Louetta! Customer for life!!! Don’t get me wrong, when the male is cooking, it’s also delicious, but the woman seems to put a little extra love in everything she makes!“
