“First time visit to Calesa’s. Recommended by my friend Chef Mike. If he says it is good food then I know I have to try it. We were a party of four and each of us had a different entree. Let me tell you now, absolutely everything was delicious. From the fresh chips and salsa, the hibiscus tea, to the various entrees including carne asada, quesadillas, bistek Mexicana, and my order of Platillo Calesa (carne asada/shrimp/chicken), all the way to the dessert of Tres Leche cake. It tasted like authentic homemade Mexican food should. Mike has never let me down and he certainly didn’t this time. We will be back as often as possible and wish Mike and Calesa’s the best of luck on their new collaboration. It was great to see Mike back in a kitchen doing what he does best. Give this place a try, you can thank me later.“

“Small town feel with authentic flavors. The salsa wasn’t anything to write home about. I ordered the pollo torta. The bread was PHENOMENAL, the chicken was well seasoned, the avocado was fresh and there was a perfect amount of jalapeños on it. My husband ordered fajita tacos and said they were delicious. My kids shared a cheese quesadilla. I had a taste and wasn’t really a fan, but the kids fought over it, and my kids NEVER eat their food. I say this place is worth a try, just maybe don’t order anything Tex mex. They seem to do authentic foods better.“

“I don’t leave reviews much, but if anyone deserves 5 stars it’s this store! It is not your typical fast food experience. I work down the road and only get a 30 min lunch, so I often stop here. The service is AMAZING. They are extremely fast and accurate, they knew my face after only one visit, customer service phenomenal. The manager here is on top of her/his game. I always end up with a smile on my face when I get to the window.“
