“We had the birria tacos, rice, and beans. EVERYTHING was so delicious! The salsas were so flavorful and not just hot like most. I'm eagerly looking forward to going back and trying everything on the menu! Also, the service was wonderful.“
“The service here is so courteous every time. They are fast, friendly and they remember my order. Plus that new manager Christine is a real boss! She keeps the store in line!Vegetarian options: The only fast food place that has a vegan/vegetarian option for everything.“
“What a quaint place. Use to be the old Long John Silvers. They turned it into a cafe. The food was awesome.... Had the chilaquiles and yes....they were fantastic. Host was super friendly. My husband had the breakfast burrito filled with chunks of ham. Yall should try this place out!“
“The hostess greeted us pleasantly as we entered. We were invited to choose our own table. Our waitress was prompt in taking our drink orders and patient while we decided on our meals. The salsa given us was homemade and very tasty. We were also given 3 squeeze bottles of different sauces. I had a small beef burrito with rice and beans. The burrito was good. The beef was tender and well seasoned. I thought the rice and beans were under seasoned. My other small complaint was the rice and beans could be served hotter (with heat). I like to be to have to "blow " on my food to cool it down. Just my preference. Overall, I think this is a good place to eat. They have many selections, and I am looking forward to trying them.“
“Ok...this place lived up to everything I have heard about it. Don't let the fact that it is at the Motel 6 Extended Stay dampen your enthusiasm - this place is great. I got a couple of tacos - ground beef and al pastor. Excellent. Great salsa too. No after shock the next morning either - at least nothing I couldn't handle.“
“Great service, delicious food. Even my Mexican spouse was pleased (& he can be picky!) Will definitely recommend this place to friends wanting authentic Mexican dishes. I had a delicious smothered burrito that was hugeWheelchair accessibility: Easy handicap access“
“Great hidden gem of 'frontera' style cooking with real mendoza, and traditional cuisine. The habanero sauce is a bit hot for adventurous tastes and the menudo is good but way spicy if you are not accustomed to the intensity of hot and spicy.Dietary restrictions: There is a way to get gluten free here.“
“Papacita's Mexican restaurant in Longview, Texas offers a mixed dining experience, earning a 3-star review for its food. While the steak enchiladas fell short of expectations with an overwhelming amount of cheese that masked the taste of the meat, the Ranchero beans shone as a highlight of the meal with their delicious flavor. However, the rice provided a disappointing twist as it lacked the traditional Mexican seasoning, presenting a more Americanized version that failed to impress. On the positive side, the atmosphere at Papacita's was inviting and pleasant, enhancing the overall dining experience. The service was attentive and friendly, with staff members displaying professionalism and ensuring that diners felt well taken care of throughout their visit. Despite the mixed quality of the food, the welcoming ambiance and excellent service make Papacita's a decent choice for a casual meal in Longview. In conclusion, while the steak enchiladas and rice may not meet traditional Mexican cuisine standards, the flavorful Ranchero beans and enjoyable atmosphere contribute to a relatively satisfactory dining outing at Papacita's Mexican restaurant.“
“Absolutely wonderful place with amazing, authentic tacos. Lots of seating. The breakfast tacos are some of the best I've had in the area. I loved getting their breakfast tacos at their other location at the food truck right in front of Ellis Pottery. Don't know their hours but I think they're only open in the mornings?“
“very nice atmosphere loved the delicious tacos - and we were able to fully customize our burrito exactly the way it was wanted. it was sooooo good and we are excited to come back again soon I saw a sign that said flan is back in the cooler so I'm gonna try that next“
“Not your average taco spot in Longview, but definitely worth the stop! We tried Lina's Tacos a couple different times before making a review. (Consistency right?!?!) Yeah, they nailed it both times! The barbacoa and quesabirria are spot on. ? Food trailer is super clean, and the outdoor seating is very convenient. More than happy to have this gem on the way out of town!“
“Love this place....only thing that bothers me is there white board menu...but no prices. The food was excellent but was shocked at the prices....The platos are 13.50 or 14.00 I chose beef enchiladas, had 4 enchiladas, beans and rice....more food than I should eat. Wish they would be more upfront w their prices. A part of me thinks that Gringos are charged more than the hispanic customers...“
“This is why I LOVE tacos el patron. The program they have for feeding those who may be hungry is beautiful to see in this city. Also it's the Best Mexican food you will get around the area hands down!!! Best quesabirrias ever. Stop by if you can!!“
“What a great place! The atmosphere was pretty cool. They've been open for just about 1 year now, and it is a family owned establishment. I had the tacos with rice and beans. I loved it all. They had 2 options for salsa; red and green. They have a variety of options to choose for the tacos. I had the Barbacoa, chicharon, and pastor. I'm a big rice guy and it didn't disappoint. They even offered some radishes for the meal. I'll be back here for sure. Next time I'll be taking the wife and son.“
“We have been wanting to try this place for years. We walked in, and no one greeted us. It seemed like they were surprised we were there. We pointed to a table, and they nodded and said we could sit wherever. We sat down, and our waitress was hard to understand. It was a mix of speaking softly and with a hard accent. Got water to drink and Longview water or this part of Longviews water is not good. So my wife got a diet coke. They have delicious and fresh chips, and they bring out their salsa. It wasn't amazing, but they do have an alternate green salsa that was better and fresh. You have to get upon request. Definitely recommend that. We got the triple dip appetizer, but do not recommend it. It was basically an avocado smoothie and mac and cheese sauce x2. I ordered the Carne asada Torta and 5 street tacos(asada and chorizo mix), and my wife ordered the Pastor Gorditas. It took 45 minutes to get our food, there were only 2 customers in the restaurant at 11am. Us larger people had eaten 3 baskets of chips while we waited and were VERY tempted to leave as we were pretty much full.... it finally came out, and it was DELICIOUS, fresh, and well seasoned food. My wife loved her Gorditas, she tried them for the first time, and the AL Pastor was EXTREMELY juicy. This is like a tex-mex place but has a secret authentic Mexican side that they don't really push to us gringos. But definitely recommend that part of their menu.“
“First time here! Food was definitely very tasty! We had the chicken and rice soup, a short stack, a kitchen sink burrito, and tried also tried one flauta. It could have been a busy Saturday, but service was rushed and seemed checked out when interacting. Very reasonably priced too!“
“Service a little slow it seems to new comer’s… It’s to where it seems… I showed up ordered yet I noticed everyone that showed up behind me was greeted by name as well seated got their order … Where then I finally got my order where then I left never return…. Yet food was fresh not bad at all“
“The young lady behind the counter was very sweet. She took our order helped explain what was good and her personal experiences with the menu items. The food was amazing and very good will be coming back and telling my friends about this place and the food and specials. She really was a good customer service employee and done her job and very helpful. So was the young man there also.“
“If you are looking for truly authentic Mexican food, El Taquito is your spot. We tried the tacos and gorditas. Deshebrada or shredded pork with red sauce, I learned, is a must try!! The shrimp cocktail looks great and was a huge portion along with the soups. The two things I want to try next time.“
“Maria’s Hot Tamales are the best. Service is superb and the food is amazing. I was late to order hot tamales for Christmas and even though they were not taking any more orders, they went ahead and made the 2 dozen I needed for this weekend. Thank you for making this happen. Love this “
“(Translated by Google) very tasty roast chicken and very good service and treatment by the waitress, definitely recommended and obviously we will return(Original)muy rico el pollo asado y muy buen servicio y trato por parte de la mesera, definitivamente recomendable y obvio regresaremos“
“Personally I love the food ,was delicious ?, we will have to go back there sometime soon, people was so nice, little bit slowly to get the food but hey! It was there just 1 lady working , giving the chance to wait for your food and you do not regret it.“
“I’ve been here a couple of times and enjoyed it hence the 4stars. The street tacos deserve a 1 star. Go to the Tele’s in New Diana for better street tacos. Also, I understand it’s 2024 but 8 street tacos for $32 is a bit excessive especially without rice and beans and no salsa to go.“
“Tried this place with my brother and we both loved how delicious the food was! The waitress was super nice. We stayed awhile going over paperwork and they did not seem to mind at all. Definitely will be back!!! The horchata was really good too!“
“I went for my brother's birthday on a night where it was semi busy. All of the food was very delicious and usually I'm not fond of Mexican food but this place truly changed my mind. I got a steak fajita plate and shared it with my mom. They have fairly large servings and everything was hot and delicious!“
“In a world full of the same old "Mexican" restaurants El Ranchero is a gem.We arrived around 1pm and it was just a bit busy. But we were seated right away. Of course you get the usual chips and salsa. And the salsa was very good.We ordered, she got the taco salad and I got the burrito tejano. Everything was seasoned well. Most of these places only add the ingredients inside, bland as can be and ride on the fact of the queso or sauce on the outside to flavor the burrito. Not El Ranchero, they actually season all the ingredients on the inside like they care about what they're doing.I have found my new favorite Mexican place and will be back again and again. Oh and it's close to Dollywood so there is a bonus right there!“
“Little Mexico is my favorite restaurant! I have never had a bad experience. The owner is kind and helpful. I want to shout out the best server ever.. her name is Angeles. She is amazing! The food is on point every time - I have never has a bad meal. The atmosphere is great - good music, colorful decor, all around good vibes!“
“We had a great experience. The family atmosphere is very enjoyable. The service was amazing. I asked for suggestions and the recommendations did not disappoint.Kid-friendliness: There were several families enjoying dinner with kids.Wheelchair accessibility: My dad is in a wheelchair. It was easy to work in the restaurant.“
“This is the best Mexican food I've had in years! Salsa hot and awesome. Got some to go. Ordered combo beef enchilada, and chili relleno with rice and beans. Also ordered nachos and side of guacamole. Small place doing the business at 3 in afternoon. Service was good.“
“Took the family to get our grub on. We all enjoyed it especially with their house made red salsa with chips and the owner, Jessie, brought us out some green salsa as well. This one had a little more spicy. He had recommended the Queso Falmeado (the flamed cheese) with Grilled chicken and that was what exactly the wife had ordered. Let me tell you what this dish did not disappoint. I ordered the Chile relleno plate filled with cheese, my favorite, and I had them add an extra one onto the plate with a side of charro beans. What a delicious meal. One poblano was Topped with queso sauce and the other with cheese sauce. I was ready to chow down. Lol These poblano peppers are hand selected by Jessie and as such are the biggest and best tasting Chile rellenos I've personally had here in East Texas. Took half of this home, except for those charro beans, I'm such a fan, and these beans are a winner. Our son enjoyed their steak fajita with veggies. A classic dish made just right and my son gave it 2 thunbs up and a big smile. Take a bite, take the family, and enjoy the good food. Glad I finally came to enjoy a plate of good Mexican cooking.“
“First time to visit the White Oak location. The food and service was amazing. Server Carmen had a smile on her face the whole time. The food was delicious. The hot sauce is perfect! Nice and spicy! I learned that they make their own chips everyday as well. I had the fajita steak sandwich, and let me tell you, it's AWESOME. Can't wait to come back.“
