I discovered this place yesterday and it was a hit! The gentleman owner was very friendly and helpful. He explained to me how to order quick set meals. I mistakenly ordered Uber while I was eating thinking it would take a while before my ride arrives, but the ride arrived after 2 minutes, so I could not finish my meal, but the lady owner was very kind and gave me lids and bag so I could take my food to-go instead. Kainan sa Laguna is a Filipino restaurant and the name means Dining in Laguna.I ordered "Ampalaya" dish, a sauteed bitter melon, mixed with garlic, onions, scrambled eggs, pork, and tomatoes. It was flavorful and does not have the expected bitter taste.I learned about the healing properties of bitter melon many years ago when my blood glucose started to go up.It is available in tablet form or tea. Walking into Kainan Sa Laguna was like visiting an auntie’s house for a home cooked meal.
