“I love chicken fried steak, but usually don't eat it out because it's often full of gristle. Someone I know recommended The Relay Station's chicken fried steak though and it did not disappoint! It was tender, crispy and delicious! The mashed potatoes, corn and gravy were also on point. I'll be back again.“
“Cool place just a few minutes drive west of Montgomery. We pass it all the time but have never stopped, finally decided to stop today and was glad we did. “Used to be a frequent flyer but the place was closed every time I tried to go by so I went elsewhere. I believe their hours updated, so finally was able to return recently. Got a burger and must say it was probably the best burger I've had in town! “It was my 1st time there today. The service was good and consistent. The food was good, I had the fish and shrimp special and will try the fish and oysters next time. The atmosphere has that old southern charm you don't see too much of anymore. You know what home or grandparents place used to be like. “It's a very charming restaurant. Old license plates all over, the flow from inside to outside is amazing and makes the room look and feel bigger than it is and I found that they used the small amount of space they actually have very well. The outside area had plenty of seating for eating and watching live entertainment and they had spots for those who smoke. The menu was limited but the descriptions of the drinks were hilarious. I got the BLT and for my taste it had too much mayo, which is an easy fix, just ask for them to go light on the mayo next time The fries were delicious and my favorite part of my meal, but then again fries are my most favorite food. The bacon was thick and they were not stingy with it and it was mouthwatering. My husband got a chicken fried steak stuffed potato. It sounded interesting enough and my husband ate as much of it as he could without making himself explode. The appetizer we ordered was the jalapeno poppers and oh my goodness they were perfect. We came away with very stuffed, very happy bellies. Our waitress was very friendly and I wish I could remember her name because she was honestly a gem.
