“Very good food for a first time customer!“

“Randomly Stopping for lunch at an unknown roadside restaurant during a 4 1/2 hour roadtrip can be disastrous to delightful- as well as anything in between. Lucky for us, it proved to be delightful. We were greeted by a man who was excited be at his job. He explained all the delicious choices on the menu (Yup. You guessed- steak to seafood.) as well as a varied salad bar. “It’s all you can eat,” he explained. Since it was everything I wanted to eat, I chose it. And I wasn’t disappointed! The fish was fresh and tender. The shrimp was so tasty I went back for seconds. The cookies tasted homemade. “Bye, bye!” He said as we left. “See ya later!”
“Probably not,” I answered back. He laughed and I found myself wishing it weren’t true.
If you’re going down 290, stop here to eat.“

Noon is super busy so come early if you can't wait. Cash only. The wait staff you can tell know most of their customers as they call them by name! Even being super busy I still received fast friendly service. This is my new favorite for Brenham. They are only open for breakfast and lunch. Close at 2 and I think they are closed this Monday for Memorial day. You won't regret trying this cafe! Next time I come I will be torn between a cheeseburger or the blue plate specials they have. First time I had a chili dog with onion rings. Onion rings were amazing and the hotdog was tasty too!“

“Was there for my first trip last Sunday and my second trip on Friday on my return trip, that should tell you how good it was if I ate there twice in the first week. The cheeseburger was great but the onion rings were some of the best I’ve had, the catfish, my brother in law had was fabulous, I stole a piece, and the flatbread pizza was fantastic, chicken bacon ranch was my choice and a good one. Will be going back hopefully several more times in the future.“

“This place brings me many memories of when I was younger and my older cousins used to cook here when it was a pool hall. The remodel is beautiful and cozy. The owner and staff are so friendly and courteous. The food is so gooood and the prices are as cheap as a fast food place or cheaper. This is my new favorite place to go to lunch, it's cute but small and you will not be disappointed. FYI it is closed on Wednesdays. I can't wait to try the breakfast. Also when you order food to go they don't miss a beat, they make sure everything that you need is in the bag and its packaged nice and neat. My goal is try everything on the menu, so far the meatloaf, hamburger, and chicken fried steak are a 10 out of 10.“

“Absolute props to the young lady working the counter. She was all alone going back and forth with orders, and she never stopped being sweet! She was very nice and knowledgeable about the products. Our treats were delicious and everything was fun to see here.“
