Stopped by in the hope of a fairly quick lunch as it was not very crowded. The server really pushed the buffet which did not interest us, not into eating a ton of precooked and warmed food. We ordered drinks which came pretty quick. They have a lot on their menu but most of it leans towards fried foods. The color on the fried shrimp and catfish I ordered was light yet it was perfectly crisp. This indicates the temperature was dialed in and the oil was clean. This is what I was looking for. Also I could see that a citrus zester or chann l knife was used on the sliced cucumbers in my salad which does not augment the taste but lets me know some care and attention was spent on our food. I often frequent this place during my drive from Austin to Port Arthur for work. The staff is always friendly and fast the manager is usually waking around asking how the food is and I’ve never been disappointed. Their steaks are always cooked the way I order them and the fish has never been dry or overcooked! 9/10 do recommend!
