“I've been using Billy Joe's BBQ to cater to my customers for the last 5 years or so. Everyone has always complemented me on the food. He also catered my 65th Birthday party which was a hit. The BBQ brisket and smoked turkey are my favorites. Billy Joe's offers a great portion at a fair price. You can actually feed a family of 4 without having to rob your savings account. “called to place a to go order & the lady sounded bland, like she was having a bad day and didn’t really want to be working. it’s monday so, i get it. i guess. by the end of my order i was just hoping when i got there that the food would atleast would be good! the food did NOT disappoint. the baked potato is the size of a whole to go box! my man ordered the 3 meat plate, and said it was delicious. meat was tender, cooked great and the bbq sauce was good! service is drive thru/pick up only from what i seen, which was no big deal. if you’re hungry and looking for something quick and delicious, most definitely give this place a try!“

“Amazing food! Every time I have gone, the employees have been extremely kind and positive. There is a beautiful sitting area, and if you go at the right time, you might even be able to enjoy your food while watching the Lamar University marching band rehearse. The only downside is that certain foods don't always stay in stock. Many times I have gone, they only have one or two kinds of meat. (It's so good that it goes fast!)“

“brisket, turkey, baby back ribs corn bake, green beans, jalapeño bread the turkey really stood out. juicy, lean, great rub. ribs were tender with good smoke and flavor. corn bake was creamy and smoky. green beans had bacon flavor, just needed a little salt. jalapeño bread was soft and fluffy. service was fast and friendly. food came out hot and fresh. easy stop, no complaints. worth the price.“

“We dropped in for lunch Saturday 1/27/2024 our waitress was Hannah. We were greeted with a smile. Hannah took our drink order and returned quickly with our drinks. We placed our order and Hannah repeated it back making suggestions along the way. Hannah returned shortly with pipping hot rolls and cinnamon butter. Hannah checked back on us several times while food was being prepared. The food came and was prepared perfectly. I ordered the large Prime Rib (rare). The Prime Rib was prepared perfectly. The wife had Chicken Fried Sirloin which came out perfectly. The was brought out by a different server and in a moment Hannah came back to check on us. We had so much food we could not come close to eating it all. Hannah provided us with to go containers and small containers for the sides. Hannah by far was the best waitress that has ever served us. We will definitely be back and request Hannah for our waitress.“
