“I've been using Billy Joe's BBQ to cater to my customers for the last 5 years or so. Everyone has always complemented me on the food. He also catered my 65th Birthday party which was a hit. The BBQ brisket and smoked turkey are my favorites. Billy Joe's offers a great portion at a fair price. You can actually feed a family of 4 without having to rob your savings account. “Tried this place out on spur of the moment while in port Arthur . Gotta say like someone else posted nobody in parking lot, kinda threw me. 14 dollars I got two big ribs, three slices of brisket, pinto beans, potato salad and canned coke.the brisket is the most tenderest that i have had in a long time. The ribs were the same, beans and potato salad were good to with bread , pickles , onions on the side. This place is a win 👍👍“

“brisket, turkey, baby back ribs corn bake, green beans, jalapeño bread the turkey really stood out. juicy, lean, great rub. ribs were tender with good smoke and flavor. corn bake was creamy and smoky. green beans had bacon flavor, just needed a little salt. jalapeño bread was soft and fluffy. service was fast and friendly. food came out hot and fresh. easy stop, no complaints. worth the price.“

“Amazing food! Every time I have gone, the employees have been extremely kind and positive. There is a beautiful sitting area, and if you go at the right time, you might even be able to enjoy your food while watching the Lamar University marching band rehearse. The only downside is that certain foods don't always stay in stock. Many times I have gone, they only have one or two kinds of meat. (It's so good that it goes fast!)“

“For Labor Day we had Dickey's Barbecue. We went late, they were out of some choices due to a high demand holiday. They did offer that some meats were in the oven but not yet ready.
We understood and accepted what they had cooked. It was delicious. This was my first time going there. I will certainly return to try the other meats.“

“ordered doordash. never had them and lesson learned. tater tots and side where just thrown in the bag not wrapped etc. order was not right at all, missing a whole meal etc. mushroom burger i think they put through a press and guess they ran out of white cheese. very dissapointing considering I spent a tiny bit of money there. lesson learned. a "order of onion rings"“

“I only gave 4 stars because the fried rice had a bit of a taste, extra smoky, idk how to else to describe it. But honestly everything else was SO good that I don’t even care. We will definitely be back.
Crab Rangoons 8/10 because they were a little hard but DELICIOUS.
Pork bbq Bao 10/10 especially dipped in soy 👌🏻

“We dropped in for lunch Saturday 1/27/2024 our waitress was Hannah. We were greeted with a smile. Hannah took our drink order and returned quickly with our drinks. We placed our order and Hannah repeated it back making suggestions along the way. Hannah returned shortly with pipping hot rolls and cinnamon butter. Hannah checked back on us several times while food was being prepared. The food came and was prepared perfectly. I ordered the large Prime Rib (rare). The Prime Rib was prepared perfectly. The wife had Chicken Fried Sirloin which came out perfectly. The was brought out by a different server and in a moment Hannah came back to check on us. We had so much food we could not come close to eating it all. Hannah provided us with to go containers and small containers for the sides. Hannah by far was the best waitress that has ever served us. We will definitely be back and request Hannah for our waitress.“
