“I was passing by and witnessed a small crowd waiting outside. I turned around and got in line! wow, am I happy I did so. I got the turkey sandwich, potato salad and beans. it was delicious!“
“Good BBQ. Had the sliced brisket sandwiche with a side of potatoe salad. Really delicious! The sauce is tangy with just a little kick of spice. Potatoe salad was will balanced between crunchy and smooth. Will definitely be coming back with my family!“

“We went with our friends Kenny & Dena to eat at Charlie’s Bar-B-Que & Catering this afternoon in Beaumont. It is some of the best BBQ around. While eating we seen a picture of Charlie and Aaron Franklin standing together under a tent. Charlie’s wife came over to ask how our food was and I asked her about the picture, she proceeded to tell us how they received an invited to cook at Aaron Franklin’s BBQ cook off in Austin, she was so nice. After we finished our meal Charlie came out to check on something, and we stopped him and started talking with him about how he Smokes his meat, type of wood he uses….etc, he was such a super nice friendly guy to talk and visit with. I would highly recommend if your hungry for some BBQ, or need an event catered, to give them a try. Their BBQ is delicious. Oh, I almost forgot, then we went to DQ in Nederland for some ice cream to complete our evening of festivities……..LOL 😂“

“brisket, turkey, baby back ribs corn bake, green beans, jalapeño bread the turkey really stood out. juicy, lean, great rub. ribs were tender with good smoke and flavor. corn bake was creamy and smoky. green beans had bacon flavor, just needed a little salt. jalapeño bread was soft and fluffy. service was fast and friendly. food came out hot and fresh. easy stop, no complaints. worth the price.“

“I've been using Billy Joe's BBQ to cater to my customers for the last 5 years or so. Everyone has always complemented me on the food. He also catered my 65th Birthday party which was a hit. The BBQ brisket and smoked turkey are my favorites. Billy Joe's offers a great portion at a fair price. You can actually feed a family of 4 without having to rob your savings account. Now that's a good deal these days...“

“Amazing food! Every time I have gone, the employees have been extremely kind and positive. There is a beautiful sitting area, and if you go at the right time, you might even be able to enjoy your food while watching the Lamar University marching band rehearse. The only downside is that certain foods don't always stay in stock. Many times I have gone, they only have one or two kinds of meat. (It's so good that it goes fast!)“

“ordered doordash. never had them and lesson learned. tater tots and side where just thrown in the bag not wrapped etc. order was not right at all, missing a whole meal etc. mushroom burger i think they put through a press and guess they ran out of white cheese. very dissapointing considering I spent a tiny bit of money there. lesson learned. a "order of onion rings"“

“One of if not my favorite places for a Beaumont Beef link, Gerard's also inspired me to be a master at smoking Pork Bones. People in Beaumont already know, but if you're an out of Towner, make sure you stop by and get some bones and a link......I keep begging for a loose recipe for them links...lol they are not budging ?“

“We dropped in for lunch Saturday 1/27/2024 our waitress was Hannah. We were greeted with a smile. Hannah took our drink order and returned quickly with our drinks. We placed our order and Hannah repeated it back making suggestions along the way. Hannah returned shortly with pipping hot rolls and cinnamon butter. Hannah checked back on us several times while food was being prepared. The food came and was prepared perfectly. I ordered the large Prime Rib (rare). The Prime Rib was prepared perfectly. The wife had Chicken Fried Sirloin which came out perfectly. The was brought out by a different server and in a moment Hannah came back to check on us. We had so much food we could not come close to eating it all. Hannah provided us with to go containers and small containers for the sides. Hannah by far was the best waitress that has ever served us. We will definitely be back and request Hannah for our waitress.“
