“My husband and I just moved to Boyd and have been trying the different places to eat around here. Tonight we had Big Tony’s BBQ and we were both so impressed. The smoked ham, ribs and sausage were amazing and the sides were too! We will definitely be back, this was some of the best (if not THE best) BBQ we’ve ever had 😋 🤤”

“The burger is amazing, absolutely delicious and huge. Everything else however... sadly it's severely lacking. The drink machine has a funny taste to it and the carbonation was poor, and the fries that came with the burger might as well had just not been there. Negatives aside, try a burger, you won't be disappointed.”

“So let’s just get this out of the way. Alright I couldn’t see my computer now I can write the review. It’s time to right some wrongs. This place was accused of selling rabbit in place of chicken. It’s true but it’s delicious. That is me in the picture and as you can see i had my fill. Yum time. There were several customers who didn’t move for several minutes. I sat down and enjoyed my meal ( a little raw, I hope this happens again. ) anyways upon walking to the counter i discovered everyone in the store was a mannequin, even the employee at the counter (picture I took is attached.) but yeah come here.”

“The BBQ at LOCAL CRAFT in Newark TX takes BBQ to the next Level! Do not pass up this Gem in North Central Texas. These folks know what they are doing. They even serve Pork Belly smoked to perfection and cut like brisket. The beef brisket is the best I have tasted in years, moist and delicious with smoke permeated all through the meat. They use hard Texas Oak unlike alot of other BBQ joints that use lighter woods. The Baked Potato Salad is to die for!!! I cannot wait to eat through the rest of the Menu!”

“Except when temperatures are high. Went by this morning, about 10:45. Walked in to people waiting everywhere and told 10 - 15 minutes wait. Ok ..but looked around and counted 8 (EIGHT) empty, clean tables. Thought, ok, waiting for buffet to catch up, but no, only 1 person was in line there. They seated some, so we went to sit on bench area, and began to really sweat. When asked if AC wasn't working was told, "It's just the building, cause it's so hot outside". okay, we left. won't pay those prices, to be hot, no matter how good the food is. We'll go back maybe in the fall, winter, when "the building" is more bearable.”

“Stopped by with a family member, after taking our kids to Gammil Park and we were super impressed! It’s normally a little out of the way from where we live, but we both agreed that we’d make it a point to stop in (at least) once a month. Between us, we ordered chicken Alfredo pasta, 2 pizza slices, 1 calzone, and spaghetti with meat sauce. The portions were big and each dish was so delicious! Definitely excited to go back and bring friends.”

“This is no longer a free standing restaurant. It is located inside Turkey Mountain Feed & General Store (since Feb 2025 and as of this review in July 2025). There are two picnic tables outside for eating at. The staff is very kind and helpful. The tacos were very good (we tried carne asada, pollo, barbacoa, and al pastor). They come with grilled pineapple (which was fabulous), grilled onion, raw white onion, cilantro, lime, green sauce, red sauce and charro beans. We paid $20 for 8 tacos and it was a lot of food. I am happy for the price for the proportions. Not the best tacos I’ve had but very very good. I would come back if we were close by (I just maybe wouldn’t drive the 40 min we did tonight).”
