“About maybe 13-15 years ago I came here from England after seeing a friend in Dallas. Some dude walked in with a guitar, got on stage, asked if there were any musicians in the audience and eventually put together 4-5 other people who, after speaking for perhaps 10 minutes, played the most incredible, Pink Floyd / Blues music I’d ever heard. I was blown away. As the guy left later that night, I asked what his name was and he said “Buck.” And he signed me a Dollar that said “thanks for coming to listen to Texas Blues” and I’ve only just found that Dollar, that’s why I’m writing this review now. But I never forgot that night. I asked how it was possible that strangers could play the best blues music after just a few minutes of talking and he said “we just agreed to play in the key of C”. As a non musician, that stuck with me. Now I play guitar and it’s all thanks to Buck. So, wherever you are, buddy. You’re remembered fondly by an English dude who met you over a decade ago.“

“I'm rating the weekend afternoon/ early evening bartender, Vanessa in particular. Because she's the best. Go see her, bask in her glorious banter, and tip her generously. Her drinks are just as delicious as her burns. Plus, she's hot. Drink now, thank me later.“

“I loved it here. There is so much room. There are three parts to this bar. The inside is decorated so cute. Couches for lounging. Pool tables too. Drinks are very affordable. Outside stage where band plays. There is plenty of seating outside. Definitely will return.“

“One of the best chill bars. They have pool and other games upstairs. Great place to bring your buddies for a quick game. Staff is always friendly and quick, they don’t ignore you like at other bars. If you’re lucky, someone will bring their dog in with them and they’ll let you pet it.“
“Go fishing at Goat Creek behind the building and catch a buzz. This was my haunt but I moved to Poland. Here the bars close when the this place opens. 7am. I’ve been suffering GOATlag

“No food, but Yoo-hoo YeeHaw is AWESOME!!! It’s White Russian meets white trash!!! Or an adult frosty; super yummy! HH is crazy cheap!!! Music varies tremendously; sometimes fun stuff I know, usually deep cuts I don’t recognize. Dog friendly! Bar usually has a few pooches hanging out.“
“Nice bar split in 2 sides. One is the bar side. The other is tables, pool table etc. I kinda felt bad for the bartender. She was pretty busy by herself. The bar does not have a kitchen but you can order in from local places. There is also a small patio. Parking is valet or street parking the the neighborhood.“

“My partner & I are in town for the holidays from Salt Lake City & were told about Time Out Tavern. Everything that was mentioned by the Uber driver was on point. The atmosphere was chill AF, there's a male bartender with braids who gave exceptional customer service not to mention the door guy was down to earth with a lot of knowledge & that bearded. WOOF! With that said there was a female bartender who could use A LOT of coaching conversations by management as her rudeness was never asked for & customer service lacked. I still give this bar five stars & will recommend it to others.“

“Had to wait about 25 minutes on a Sunday, so plan ahead. The brick walls and dim lighting feels very Chicago. Add in all the Chicago sports memorabilia and you'd think you were back home. I ordered a medium with 4 toppings. Which was just enough for a hungry man appetite. The pizza was a great take on Chicago tavern style with a slightly thicker but light brick oven type pizza and a sweeter sauce. It was Very good. My only gripe is that my water glass was empty for long periods of time more than once but when I looked around, no one with a cocktail or beer had an empty glass. Still a good meal though.“

“This is my favorite bar to go to. It's off the grid. Has locals and new faces all the time. The drinks are affordable. The bartenders are charismatic and attentive towards a great customer experience. I'll be back again and again.“
