My Hat goes off to the Manager Heaven who was not only running food, but she took my uncles and my order was all over the place making it happen! The Brick House Tavern should be honored to have such a hard working woman as one of their managers! I was an SKM for Landry's Corpus Christi long ago so know the expectations of corporate! All the young ladies did very well for as busy as it was.I couldn't even eat cause I enjoy watching a Manager and her team turn tables and keep up with the patrons!! Great Job Heaven I was very impressed with your work ethic and its Managers like you who train their crew right and hold them to a great standard! By the way the Cuban was delicious and my uncle enjoyed his salmon and shrimp dish!! we will definitely be back and hope your working next time as well!!“

She checked on us regularly, even though we were at the opposite end of the venue. With her quick thinking, she had a chocolate bar with a candle on it for my son to blow out. “The hubs and I have come here twice. First time we got the steak and burger and a sampler platter. One of the best steaks I've ever had! And he loved his burger. This time we got taquitos and fried okra. I had catfish fillets and baked potato. He had chicken tenders which were hand breaded. So good again. The cooks here take pride in the food. I can't remember our first server but we had Nicole this time and she was absolutely amazing. Friendly and efficient. Made us feel very welcome. Nice bar for great neighborhood eats.“

I’m a simple order kind of person here: burger, fries, and drinks. The burgers are consistently solid, fries hit the spot, and the drinks are really the main character…good pours, fun options, and you don’t feel like you’re getting played on the price.

The vibe fits the area perfectly: chill enough to grab a casual bite, but still lively enough to feel like you’re “out.” On some Fridays they have a DJ, and when he’s on, it turns into a nice little low-key turn-up without being chaotic. It’s a cool experience if you’re trying to stay local but still want some energy.
